| I looked over everyone's drawings and they were all amazing! I really want to learn how to draw and I've tried to get books to help but I just suck! I know it takes lots of practice but how did any of you start? What did you do to get that good? |

here's a drawing I drew a while ago using only pencils and colored pencils. I merged some stuff... Reference: Questor magazine ü And, I cleaned it up a bit with photoshop, you know the grey thingies that appear that actually comes from the scanning process. ^_^ BTW, I don't know what happened to my scanner but, it doesn't scan the upper part anymore. | haha izumo ur good at shading. i should try it sometime. no offense, but ur drawings aren't my style. Not that i dont like em lol, but i don't really wanna draw that and then have people see me drawin it. But if people like you didn't draw em, we wouldn't have em so its all good, nice job. |

To Izumo, Thank you very much for your reply on my question about the thumbnails. Hmm..you really know a lot about H-games.My favourite H-games company is Orbitsoft(i'm not really sure about this name..)that produced H-games like Moldavite and Yami To Boushi To Hon No Tabibito. Stera,Nina,Karin and the other girls in Modavite are really Kawaii!! I never play or purchased the game at all,I just happened to know about it through PC-Games magazines and the Internet.. To EmAn, Same as Izumo,i like pencil artworks too. That means i really admire your artwork^-^.It looked sweet how you drew the girl looked at the back.I would like to suggest some advice(if you don't mind..),the girl's right eye should be a little bit smaller or thinner than the left eye in order to show perspective of the picture.Sorry if my comments seemed to be irittating...-_-'' To Rin-chan, Yours are NICE too and the girl is sure so Kawaii^-^ Hmm..Colour pencils really reminds me of my GOOD old days..(The last time i use them is when i'm 15)Now that i only use black pens to draw,i knew that using colour pencils back might give me difficulties..... To ~*Mel*~ , Don't worry,you'll get good soon. In order to start,i recommend you to use use any anime/manga books,pictures,magazines etc. as revision for you to draw.Try to learn the human's body anatomy and figures in order to know the standard scale of the human's body. Note:Some drawings does not really follow the standard scale of the human's body.. If you're unable to draw pose of your character,copy it from any pictures. Don't worry,people will not call you a cheater for 'copying' because even most anime artist do the same before. I seldom copy things from other pictures to draw. As a result:I need 6 years to reach my reputation nowadays.... Ja nee!Minna-san!!  |

Yes i know of Orbitsoft (Clover/ROOT/Core)...that's where the artist known as Carnelian does most of her stuff.I haven't tried Moldavite yet (i've seen images of it though...very cute), i did play Yami to Boushi & a bit of No Surface Moon.Carnelian's drawings are so luscious and rich in detail...they're absolutely beautiful. I'm not shy to say i enjoy playing these games (i'm not the only one)...some are actually very good. I always enjoyed Studio Ego! games (my fave) & the now defunk Cherrysoft...though the artist has created his/her own company called ART. One of the best H-games i've ever played was "Fate/Stay Night" by Typemoon....after playing it i realized why it's so big in Japan...it's like playing a very exellent novel. Which is why i'm eagerly awaiting the anime series. Other good companies are Navel (Shuffle! & Soul Link)....Ciel (Tony Taka does alot of artwork for them)...Key (Kanon & AIR)...their new game called "Tomoyo After:It's a Wonderful Life" is quite good...Lia's new song "Light Colors" is awesome. To EmAn...^^ I agree with ShoujoTIC....this pic is very good...though i still suggest adding some loose strands of hair for more flow...and shading to add some "POP"...other than that keep it up...look forward for more from you!  |

Ahh yes, another Typemoon, Key, and Doujin games fan. I'm still new to those kinda stuff. I should check this thread more often, but it's updated way too fast and hard to follow :/ Good job EmAn and Rin on your drawings. You guys to become mangaka's I havent draw for a long time, but now I'm trying to pick up the pen and start drawing again. First step is trying to get the human anatomy right |

Hm..hm..hm. I didn't really expected that anybody will realize i changed my nickname. I just think that it suits me better since i'm a fanaTIC of cute shoujo characters.. (21stsenjiuuri sounds like Sci-fi) I've heard of Fate/Stay Night upcoming anime release and i'm also looking forward for it.I always wanted to play games like this because i'm really interested with the artworks(also addicted...-_-")but too bad that i have no personal computer for myself. If i used my family's PC to install H-games,i'll be DEAD for sure...>_<" AIR and KANON as Hentai games? I never knew about that.. I watched the whole episodes of Yami to Boushi and i didn't know that it is based on an H-game until i've seen Moldavite.Hmm..wish i can get this stuffs..I really want to draw like them....I have no idea how did they make such beautiful cg artworks without any mistakes.. To ShoujoTIC...^^ And a mighty fine new nickname it is! Yeah...Fate is gonna be SOOOO GOOOD!!!...the story is perfect for an anime series...if you like Battle Royal...you'll enjoy Fate....same idea...fight to the death.There's alot more to it of course...seen some images of it and the animation looks crisp & clean...looks good! Some H-games have very good stories that are easily ported to an anime series.If the game is just Sex/rape/nasty stuff/etc... than it'll be difficult to make it into anything other than hentai.If the game actually has substance you get anime like AIR/KANON/Fate/Shuffle!/DaCapo/Canvas/Yami to Boushi...and so on. As for how they can make such gorgeous CG...when i was at Anime Expo 05...i atttended the discussion panel for Ms.Kazue Yamamoto...well she says it takes her about 2-4 hours to turn a sketch into a CG work of art.That's very good...i wish i could do that! Sometimes it takes me days to do that....that Cherrysoft pic was done in half a week! To answer your question...Yes i do know of Dreamsoft...their most known game is called "Natural"...their a subdivision of the company "F&C"..the ones that created "Canvas".If you have any questions relating to H-games i can help you the best i can...i'm not an expert though ^^ To EmAn...^^ I..in fact WE...look forward to your next drawing....just do your best is all we can ask for.Another advice if you want...don't overshade though...less is best. |

Thank you for telling me more informations about H-games. 24 hours!?? That means that it's really hard to make an h-games with tons of cg pictures!! I really want to play H-games(i'm aiming for the story,gallery and the characters,NOT the erotic part,ok. but some ecchi might pleased me a little,i think...) Since i can't play it in my family's PC,I think i'm going to search on that is compatitible for Mobile phones....(in my dream..) My scanner got broke(KUSO!),in that case,i can't post any of my artwork recently...Gomen ne.. |

Ummm sorry of that was unclear but it's 2 to 4 hours...not 24 Shoujo ^^...if it was 24 hours it'll take forever to make a game....heh. These are pros....they can sometimes have a game out almost every other month....i'll take Studio Ego as an example.... In the past 6 months they have released...i think they released 4 games...Oni Kagura (Miko tentacle action)...Izumo 0 (Rpgish)...Twinway 2 (school love)...and the latest Debonosubako (shooter/rpg/mah jong).So they can really crank up the games if they so want. Being the fan of Studio Ego! it's hard to keep up...out of the 4 i bought 2 of them....Izumo & Twinway...the tentacle stuff aren't my thing...Debo is too new so i'll wait before i pick up that. |

after scanning them, you have an image file right? you upload it to an image-hosting site such as photobucket and then, you copy the html code provided by photobucket and then, you paste the code here.. easy right? unless you didn't understand that..ü m y .
