omg...that's alot of worms O_O...but i eat my sushi only when the fish is steamed first.if i were to eat raw fish...my body starts to itch XD |

I don't understand, the eggs are eaten and goes into the stomach, how did it end up in the brain? Maybe there's other causes to that?

maybe the eggs...entered the veins and kinda 'traveled through' the veins and settled at the brain...our bodies abosorbs it's nutrients from the stomach,i think during that absorbsion part,the eggs got absorbed at the same time |

but kei, egg are decomposed into their basic elements before they are absorbed into our body, such as amino acids, glucose, etc (i hate biology so i don't remember it that well >_< ) P/s: Crossfade if u put your cursor on my name(pic) long enough you'll see my nick is yaiba :)

japanese eat sushi for like, thousands of years, and they dont really get worms in their brain.. and i havent heard of worms getting to the brain when they are consumed.. the eggs will probably digested or excreted through feces. i dont think they will be absorbed to the blood vessels through our stomach.. the old guy must have other worm disease..though i've never heard of any that travels to brains before..O_o so, sure, i'll enjoy my sushi next time..^_^  |

hmm.. i heard that this event is "REALLY RARE" and does not happen all the time. In this case, it happened to him and not to some other person but it's still really scary for me. I'd also like to add that the effects manifested itself after 3 years. If it does not happen to you, well, you are lucky. And my uncle(he is a doctor) said that it depends on which kind of fish you eat. There are some types of fish that settle in deep waters and others in shallow parts of the water. Some deep water fishes are safe because they are less likely to eat garbage but shallow water fishes encounter more impurities in the water such as feces and other sources of parasitical worms. |

lol, Kei, i don't know XD For that guy in the pic, maybe he got into some accident, then he got a cut on his head and the germs got in and infested the brain? I've seen one pic that shows a guy got worms or something in his tongue, he used his saliva to glue the envelope with his tongue but his tongue was cut while licking, and the bad news was there was some eggs on the part where he licked O.O
