New Age Anime(2006) vs The Veterans
|
well for those of you who are in the system of p2p downloading(or other means) or perhaps you live in japan... this year there was quite a large batch of new anime released, i'll scrounge up a list from what i know, If i miss one feel free to add on to it 1. Fate/Stay Night 2. Ouran High School Host Club 3. Kyou no go no ni 3. Amaendaiyo Katsu 4. Disgaea 5. NaNa 6. Zegapain 7. Shinigami no Ballad 8. Digimon Savers 9. .hack//roots 10. Kiba 11. Tactical Roar 12. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni 13. Ray the Animation 14. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 15. Bintou-tan 16. Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora 17. Shakugan no Shana(I know, it's 2005 release but it's still relatively new age IMO) 18. Soul Link 19. The Third 20. Yomigaeru Sora - Rescue Wings I'll Assume everyone knows what anime would be classified as Veteran(Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Evangelion, Akira, Etc.) general opinions of comparison, or if theres any new age anime you particularly enjoy, i'll start off then... Good year indeed, i loved some of the new stuff that came out, Ouran High School Host Club and Melancholy of Haruhi and Kyou no go no ni, all of them are quite funny. Fate/Stay was pretty awesome when i first saw it, though the newer episode did some things which were.. unneeded. Shakugan no Shana will stay up there with the best of them, that was one hell of an anime. hack//roots shows promise, the character designs, backgrounds are all extremely well done. In comparison to the Veteran Animes... it's really a hard comparison, the art and animation quality of the new age animes is better but thats expected since they are New Age. as for plot i'd have to hand it over to the Veterans, Gundam Wing and Evangellion are still in my head even after all this time has passed. |
