there are animes that have a nice easy story just to keep the line for characters, but there are others (the one I prefer) that have a story full of stuff like feelings, events, etc. so which is the anyme that made you feel so lost you had to see it twice to star getting the idea? personally I havent had that problem but sure Ive is hard to keep the line to everythin that happends in evangelion, I mean if you undestand what happening in every momento of the serie then you need to go out more :P |

Definatly Shuffle + Air Shuffle got a complex, very complex story. Very different that what your expecting in the end Air just left me speechless. I had to watch it twice to see how it came to that ending. |

i actually had some problems with Last Exile when I first saw it since not much background info was given to me. Then I went to an anime convention where the director of the series explained to me in detail what occurred in the storyline. I just want to make it clear to everyone: Nothing makes you feel more like a baka, when the director of the friggin' series has to explain things to you. If only I was lying about that.... >.>

Eva is hard to understand BTW how come Shinji 9s made God or whatever? Ichigo 100% keeps changing in a way

evangelion has a pretty complicated story lin. first of all if you watched the whle series , you wouldnt be ableto piece everything together in terms of what nerv was or the mentality of the characters.you needed to watch the movies to be able yo understnd everything. the more you understood about how the character acted, like if it made perfect sense to you, then you are considered crazy. in fact it was said that the creator of evangelion had severe deppression before, during, and after the completion of the series  |

for me shuffle is not complex story but for me ghost in the shell(stand alone complex) is kinda confusing and hard to understand also Additional: ahhh!!! texhnolyze is quite complicated also (tnx kioko for reminding me) |

It's quite true that Ghost in the shell has a complex plot. I think Akira, Texhnolyze and Petit cosette is kinda complex.   |

The most confusing anime ever is hands down Serial Experiments Lian. I watched so many times trying to understand the story but I just cant. It makes me sad becuase its the only anime I dont understand.

I would say GITS-SAC(Ghost in the Shell- Stand Alone Complex)..it didnt make me watch it twice, but I would of anyways because its a really nice anime to watch, complex words and such, but I got the main idea... EVA sometimes would be hard to figure out, but its kinda like, just keep watching to see what happens...so both of them would kinda fit in the Complex side of Anime..Love 'em both too

Eva, GitS, and Lain would all be on my list, too. We certainly love our mind-blowing anime! XD Perfect Blue was pretty complicated, considering how much they managed to squeeze into two hours. Imagine if it had been a series! |

Wood. With coexistent growth, it is a shelter for life. Though it cannot speak, it demands respect.

Ghost in the shell: stand alone complex... although i love it, the 1st time i was abit confused, but friends explained it to me, then i re-watched it... found it even better... i love the whole concept.. its great! =] |
