Podcasts Featuring Anime Music

I've been curious for a while why there have been no podcasts specifically focused on anime music, as opposed to Japanese music in general (including J-pop, J-rock, etc.) Why do you guys think that is? So far, there are only two anime music podcasts out there: one simply called Anime Music Podcast hosted by Peter Shillito and John Astle in Britain (http://ikkyou.org), and one new show called Anime Utahime hosted by me (http://animeutahime.blogspot.com). What do people think of them? Is it a cool idea to have podcasts just for anime music, or is it silly?

I think it's a very interesting idea... I think perhaps if each song is also highlighted with a brief explaination of the series, or the character it relates to (if it's an image song) it would be a lot of fun to listen to. Then again, I listen to knitting podcasts, so I must be a lil' insane...  |

Hm, that's a good idea about the series/character explanations. :) Maybe it wouldn't have to be too detailed, just in case listeners are already familiar with the series being talked about, but it certainly is a thought. I so need to re-learn how to knit. XD

Hello thar. Peter Shillito here, a host of the number 1 Anime Music Podcast! I never use a script for my episodes, I just say what comes naturally. I do have a virtual post-it note on my desktop with the songs I'm playing that episode and any mentions that I need to do. Other than that I just go with the flow ^_^ I usually have at least 16 versions of one episode until I'm finally happy with what I've done. What's really annoying is that my microphone is buzzing.
