Well, actually it's not QUITE licensed yet. Apparently this company named ShoPro is the middleman between Pierrot, the company with the rights to Naruto in Japan, and Viz. So as of RIGHT NOW, it has not been licensed-yet. Get your free online subs while you still can, guys. ^^ btw, here's the official release from ANN:

It's not licensed and CN has announced that it'll be aired sometime in 2005. This is CN not some other small companies, so bye to all naruto torrents.

anyways if it's going to be , so if you really want to download this anime i would donwload the fansubs now , but i wouldn't too much worry about the english subbing even if they do turn out bad you can always watch it with japanese and english subs on the dvd , i belive seeing as viz somewhat has it the voices should be alright aslong as it not 4kids , the anime should be somewhat able to watch in english.

I found out yesturday. I just hope that cartoon network isn't going to want it to be 'too kiddish'. Even though Naruto has childish humor (which in my opinion isn't really childish), doesn't mean it should be for kids.

How does all of this license thing? Just for the country right?

I mean for US only.

If not... T-T

Even though it will be liscensed, some groups will continue subbing it,right?
At least that is what we hope for.

Sorry i started a post without knowing that there are post about naruto being licensed....I think that there'll be some bittorent that still give naruto's latest episode. I think that the server of the site would have to be in the country outside US, like singapore, taiwan and other countries. Since i just got latest episode from a web that i can't remember (just happen to found it while dl GSD), that site already knew that Naruto is already licensed by US.
And also sometimes my country already licensed some anime before US does and it doesn't even effect any bittorent site. There's still hope T^T

I think that it would suck if naruto got liscensed and got crappy voices like one-piece did.
