This thread is to anyone who has read or is reading this book right now.The movie is coming out soon in the U.S.A.Since the church forbids this book and I am a athiest I had to read it.I bought the book yesterday and I am already on chapter 10.A couple of my friends who have finish reading the book said it made them question thier faith.If this book is so powerful then it must be read by everyone.Is anyone reading this book now?

OMG..i read it three time already..it's a really really good book...in fact one of the best i ever read..Dan Brown idea brought up a lot of question..yes.. well it's because the evidents given is kinda convincing =P..when u finish the book ..let's hav a small discussion on it..and i can't wait for the movie either.. everyone out there..try to read this book ^^ it'll awe u! (btw how bout the other series? angel and demon..da vinci code is a sequence to it...after reading it..like da vinci code..u'll find out something that u really don't know but it's all around u!..i recommend it too^^)

Hmmmm i heard that the Chirstian forbids the Book because one part it says that Jesus married Mary Magdelene?And they called it Perverse?  |

yea...in the book it question about the bloodline of Jesus..like D grave said..it makes ppl question their faith..but da vinca code got supported from some churches too..visit the offcial page of the book..it tell u question u wanted to know..like..how ppl react to dan brown

I read "The Da Vinci Code" twice only... it's a really great book! one of the books that is really worth reading... I recommend it! write that at the top of you list before you die! lol joke joke anywho... I also read "Angels and Demons"... when you read that book, you'll find out that Dan Brown is repetitive of his stories and ideas. I don't want to be a spoiler so I won't write down the similarities (not unless you want me to write it down of course ^^ just tell me... and I'll write the similarities a.s.a.p.!) and I don't like what the Vatican is thinking about this book... why will they ban/discourage people on reading it if they know that it is only a 'fictional' book? discouraging it to people only shows that what's written there is true... it only adds to the people questioning their faith after reading it, right? ~*~*~*~ it IS said in th book that Jesus and Mary Magdalene was married... how did it become perverse? Jesus is human and divine at the same time... having a child is fine... what did the Vatican think that by erasing their marriage and their daughter stop Christians faith in Jesus? and also... isn't the belief about Jesus marrying Magdalene was made ages ago? hehehe I think Dan Brown only made it more popular! hahaha

yup! Da vinci is really amazing... repetitive, but amazing! hahahaha... wah~! I just found out today! I lost my The Da Vinci Code book AND Angels and Demons! wah~! I will kill the one who took them ! wah~!

I just watched the movie awhile ago even though I'm still 17yrs old x_X The DVC movie is rated 18 here in the Philippines >_< bcoz we're a Catholic Country. I wonder how strict the other countries are... Anyway, did you saw the albino Silas? omg! he has so many fresh wounds all over his back T_T and on his legs. That was really unpleasant. I think he's a member of Opus Dei. |

Jaydel is the movie worth watching? I mean..... is it great? the actors? how bout them? anywho... Rin yup! pretty much the marriage part... and because the vatican discouraged people to read the book... so... they got curious and read the book anyways... ^^

the movie's okay ^_^ you'll get to see those paintings, churches, temlples etc. that were described in the book. Everything was great! the actors? they were fine especially the one who portrayed Silas. But, if you want to understand the movie more, better read the book first. My classmate wasn't able to follow through cause he didn't read the book. So, read the book first! It's more informative. edit: the last supper tries to tell us a hidden message about the Holy grail. if you'll look at Da Vinci's painting of the Last Supper, you'll see that a Holy grail (the cup where Christ drunk his wine) doesn't exist. it means, the cup is not the holy grail but something else. i mean, someone else. ^^ |
