What are your opinions on plastic surgery for people who don't like there apperance anymore.Is it morally wrong to change for society's ideal image of what you should look like?.We see shows in which almost every actress look the same.Fake dye blond hair,fake breast implants and collagen for bigger lips.In a sence we are following hitler ideals for the perfection of the human race.I believe that plastic surgery can be beneficial for people who were in accidence and were disfigured in the event.But with plastic surgery on the rise will our generation be the era of plastic ?

i think that has nothing to do with moral becus its not wrong to do so..but people are not encouraged to do it ... we dont have the right to go stop people for having a fake body part, cuz its their body, they can do whatever they want about it... but i do hate plastic surgery ..^^ and yes, unless its for those who were disfigured in accidents..

In my belief, plastic surgery is for correctivity, not beautification. Removing of scars, reattaching skin tissue, etc. The idea of spending ongodly amounts of money on beautification makes me physically ill. I am a person who places function first and form way the hell down near last, I just don't care about image. |

i don't like surgery too, unless it HAS to be done. i mean if it's necessary and not just for some shity reason. Everytime my brother hears that topic, he says: "i pity them" cause they arent contented with their appearance. I think those people are sick. They should put this on mind: "those who mind (their appearance) doesnt matter and those who matter doesnt mind."    |

Ahh, good point ayeca, i agree too... Geez, people need serious treatment with their self confidence... Even actresses do this only to beautify themselves... If you're already an actress then you're beautiful enough dammit. Breast implant? Maybe they think just by doing that they'll get all the attention in the world... Are boobs all that matters in them? How shallow... But i have one question, what's the original purpose of plastic surgery in the first place? Is it for health reasons or beautification? I doubt the latter... |

i think the original purpose of plastic surgery is to help and restor people who's body has been deformed due to accidents and mutation. plastic surgery for the purpose of body perfection only came later whem people became so obssesed with body perfection. i think people who does plastic surgery for body perfection are discontented with their bodies and are sick to the head! well, like everyone I don't like this stuff too there is no perfect image that they can copy to call themselves beautiful... but what do you guys think is their reason (celebs to be exact)? I mean, uh...yeah it's their choice if they want to go through it or not... but can what other people say count as a factor? since they're seen on tv, they should be "perfect" pfft, they mind what others say too much!   |

it is not necessarily to copy beauty, but it has somthing to do with the symetry of the face, as for the body there are standards set already, as for the breast the bigger the better as they say, too much is not good also hehehe. as for the reason behind celeb ingaging in plastic surgery, i can't say for sure because were are not celebrities but i think it is to make them much more popular (thus eaning more money) and also to attract much attractive partners (i think this is the major reason). like i said before there is no such thing as perfect (Humans are imperfect only God is) in the celebrity world what people say about you does count. because the work offered to you is based on you popularity. I think plastic surgery is ONLY necessary IF it HAS to be done. But personally, if one of my friends had plastic surgery, I guess I would go along with them because their my friend, but other people who commit to this stuff, what ever make them happy...it doesn't bother me, though people are changing dratically though!
