I searched for a scene-specific thread but could not find one, so I'm a-postin! There are already forums for the best/favorite game and character (which everyone knows is VI, I mean c'mon) but what are your favorite scenes and cut-scenes, FF fans? There are a lot of differn't ways to list and rate your favorites, so think hard. I just listed my 10 favorite scenes from FF6 in top ten order, I'll do a FF4 later, then maybe FF10, AC... #10- Kefka's betrays the Emperor (villainy at its best) #9- Three soldiers march onto Narshe intro (set the mood for the game) #8- Death of Figaro (raw family emotion captured in a video game, followed by a coin toss fro an entire kingdom) #7- Gau's failed reunion with his father (the reality of Alzheimers...in a video game?) #6- The Phoenix, Locke, and Rachel (one of the hallmark "emotional" scenes) #5- The End of the World (no other RPG went to this length, and let itself be changed so much) #4- The Opera (incredible FF innovation once again - you actually control the singing) #3- Kefka defeats the Espers/General Leo (more villainy at its best, and the longest Kefka laugh on record) #2- Shadow's ending (sadder if you love your pet) #1- Celes attempts suicide and fails (the most powerful scene in FF history) |

I agree with your FF IV scenes (THE BEST FF in my opinion!!!) Anyways my faves...happy & sad FF I: Yes...Garland alive!!? FF II: ummm... FF III: haven't played yet :( FF IV: Cecil's transformation into a Paladin, Rydia saving your ass, the boss fight with Zeromus (best boss music ever!!!), Kain atop Mt.Ordeals at the end, Cecil saying "good-bye" to his brother...so many others!!! FF V: Galuf's death :( & Gilgamesh's farewell FF VI: OPERA SCENE!!!, getting GOGO! Reliving Shadow's past (sleep at an Inn with him in your party) FF VII: Aerith's death (no brainer), having a date at Gold Saucer (with that music in the background...beautiful), Weapon's released & attacks!! Seeing Knights & Bahamut Zero for 1st time! FF VIII: Concert at Fisherman's Horizon, Seifer defeating Odin!, The end with Rinoa & Squall...awwww. FF IX: The ending where Zidane & Garnet reunite!, Vivi seeing his fellow mages die & whooping Black Waltz, Bahamut attacks!, Garnet cutting her hair. FF X: the intro when SIN attacks, Tidus "reunites" with his father, when Tidus tries to hug Yuna before he...you know FF X-2: The concert at Thunder Plains....singing 1000 words! FF Tactics: the "death" of Ramza & Alma, Cloud's entrance!, Reis returning back into a human, Algus killing Delita's sister Teta (BASTARD!!), Delita "stabbing" Ovelia (still don't know if she died or not?) Whoa....got carried away there O_o!!  |

FFV: Jail Break (heh love gilgamesh's music) FFVI: the one most where Setzer retrieves the falcon and you get glimpses from his past. FFVII: Has to be Aeris getting impaled, just didn't see that coming. FFVIII: Opening FFIX: Kuja nukes Terra (I always thought of that as FF9's Ultima) FFX: Breaking the wedding |

FF X - The story from the game and the summoning.. FF X-2 - Yuna changes the costum and the story.. And also from the E3 FF XIII Trailer.. :P |

Lol..does the scene in FFVII: AC count when Cloud fights with Sephiroth in the end? I've only played FFX and FFX-2..they were good! |

Gah... I don't play ff... only ffx-2, but my friend sure played it, so i watched some cutscenes too, here goes: 1. FFAC - AVALANCHE vs Bahamut and Cloud vs Sephiroth (lovely animation...) 2. FFX - Yuna, Tidus, the water... (great cutscene with the song "Suteki da ne") 3. FFX-2 - When Yuna sing "1000 words" just because i like the song |

1. FFAC: When Cloud faces off against Bahamut Sin 2. FF7 Last order: when Cloud comes back to life after being immobile and gets the stabbing and still kicks Septhroth's butt 3. FF7: When Aerith died 4. FF9: When Garnet chopped off her hair 5. FF6: The mogs come and help ^_^  |

My fave AC scenes- #5. The summoning of Bahumut. #4. Cloud smiles with the kids then sees Aerith again. #3. Cloud meets the new Shinra. #2. Cloud flies up the tower to fight Bahamut, helped by his freinds alomg the way. #1. Cloud versus Kadaj. Much better than Cloud versus Sephiroth, which was just an okay-fight IMO. |

Final Fantasy 6- The last fight with Kefka (final battle) is probably my favorite scene. It just really shows the depth of Kefka's evil and insanity. Final Fantasy 7- In the flashback, when Cloud's anger overcomes his inferiority complex and he throws Sephiroth into the Mako with his own sword. Final Fantasy 8- The chase scene with the XATM092 robot was pretty intense. Final Fantasy 9- When Zidane has a mental brakedown over his true existence and fights those series of battles. The song "You're Not Alone" really added to the drama. Final Fantasy 10- Auron's big dramatic entrance...yeah. Final Fantasy 7, Advent Children- The Cloud vs. Kadaj fight was pretty cool.

Aw Man I forgot all about that awesome Zidane scene! Thanx for reminding me! I'll have to play that again when i get the time. Anyways, FF4... #5- Cecil hears Goblez say goodbye one last time. Very sad. #4- The 4 Fiends confront you one last time in the Giant of Babylon. Very cool, unexpected, and yet I could't wait for the fight to begin. #3- Rosa confronts Cecil in castle Baron and conforts him. This is like the original "Get a grip! My man don't act like this!" FF scene between lovers, which has been inn every one even in Advent Children. #2- Cecil rises against Zeromus, and all the past characters offer their prayers! They try to recreate a dramatic pre end-fight scene in each FF and RPG, but this one is the best IMO, and it's one of the first. It also leads into one of the coolest fights ever, especially for the time. #1- Palom and Porom's ultimate sacrifice. I can't believe they used the classic FF1 spell Stone on themselves to save your team from the closing walls. That is just genius, and it was so sad when you tried to restore them with your soft potions but could not, a feeling of powerlessness in the face of tragedy. It's another example of how FF mimics real life so well for the player. |

Top three that sticks to my mind... #3 FF6 - Celes in the opera (unforgettable XD) #2 FFAC - Cloud vs Kadaj And my favorite: #1 FFX - Rikku's first appearance XD And I agree with Chan, FF13 Trailer rocks! |

FF7 scenes - The ending - the motorcycle escape from Shira scene - Aerith's death (sniff, sniff) - When tifa and cloud actually gets some alone time on some field of grass - Cloud's special flashback about how he threw Seph in Mako FF8 - The dance scene between Squall and Rinoa - Irvine's FMV appearance - The ending - The opening - Edea's FMV appearance FF9 - The ending (i luv Garnet's oufit!) - The chase after Garnet - Kuja in trance form - Garnet cutting off her hair - When Alexander appears(its wings that is. So pretty...) FF10 (haven't played yet) - The first biltzball tournament - Yuna sending the dead to the...??? - The FMV where evryone slides down iron wires to crash Seymour's wedding - When SHiva is summoned, hee - Auron's entrance (the whole arm coming out of the sleeve scene) FFX-2 (haven't played yet) - The opening - The ending where Yuna finally meets Tidus - The new US version of the FMV sequence where Yuna sings and Leene is there - The part where Shin plays that huge organ thing and Leene appears but they get shot -Yuna's dream sequence of Tidus and her running frm soldiers  |
