| Oh yeah this is a good idea. My favorite scene in Sailor Moon is the showdown with Beryl, and it has this really cool song with vocals playing during the fight. I have the English version and it's called "Carry On". Is there a Japanese version of this song? I haven't seen that fight in Japanese. |

One of the saddest most heartwrenching music i've ever heard in anime is in the Sailorstars series. It's played throughout the series when something bad happens....but the scene that i remember the most is in the last few episodes. The music i'm referring to is when Eternal Sailormoon finds out that Mamoru-san (Darien for all you who don't know ^^) is no longer alive. When Galaxia tells her she has defeated him....shows Usagi-chan the star seeds.....Usagi absolutely looses it.....that music....that scene....still gets to me. If you have the Sailormoon Memorial Music box it's in disc 7 track 21....called Determination. @ Shishio Makoto ^^ The original was called "Moonlight Densetsu"...which is basically the japanese OP. Carry On & the other english songs are surprisingly very good....too bad they're so short.  |

| Thanx, but, are you saying they played Moonlight Densetsu during the showdown with Beryl on the Japanese dub? That's what I'm asking.I have that song, and that seems way out of place to me. |

Have you heard the full version of moonlight densetsu bu Dali? (The older sounding one) Did you know that the fight scene with queen Beryl was like, twice as long in Japanese? I have seen all the episodes, and I don't think it was out of place at all. Imagine. Just as Princess Serentity holds out the Moon Wand, her friends ghosts hands grab it too, and just then, the song slows down. It speeds up again when they all cry out (Venus) Power, Moon Prism POWER! And just as the shot charges up to finish her off, "Miracle Romance. Shinjite Iru no. Miracle Romance!" and then it has that chime at the end of the song as the ball of light destroys queen Beryl. Then Princess Serenity's eyes go blank. She turns back into normal Sailor Moon, and dies, as the glacier she's standing on breaks, and she falls. My typing skills aren't very good today, forgive the poorly written paragraph. I know lots of people disagree with me, but I think Moonlight Densetsu by DALI fit the scene perfectly. I have three Sailor Moon CDS. English: Sailor Moon: Songs from the hit TV show. (This one I got used, because it is so old. English: Sailor Moon and the Scouts: LUNAROCK. Japanese: Sailor Moon World: Super Best Collection. (This one has every opening and ending, (excluding the unfindable slower version of the Stars ending.) plus the two songs sung by Three Lights. The two English CDs have every vocal song used in the Dic dub, plus DALI Moonlight Densetsu,and the popular Ai no Senshi. There is a third English CD, called Full Moon Collection. Amazon had it labled as not yet shipped for three months, then removed it without a word. When emailed, they said they could no longer get it. If anyone wants songs from these CDs that are not available on this site, request them and I will upload them. I know of the song you are talking about when Sailor Galaxia show Sailor Moon the Golden Star Seed. If Sailor Stars is ever dubbed into english, I think Janyse Jaude (Voice of Kagura and Kanna from InuYasha, and Miss Yuri form MegaMan battle network) would make a fine Sailor Galaxia. You may want to check out sailormusic.net. It has almost all of the songs from Sailor Moon for download, but most of them are available in the ogg vorbis format. Oggs are nice, because they sound better and take up roughly half the space of mp3s, but do not work on mp3 players. Edit: Oh sorry, I thought the song you meant was one of the ones on the Sailor Stars Preview track. You know, the sad bgm they play during some previews. I listened to that track and now know what you really mean. |

Moonlight Denetsu is better than the dubbed song I have it on one of my cds along with the power of love.  |

@ Nekorin...^^ Oh that's right....now i remember the way Moonlight Densetsu was used...been such a long time since i last seen that episode. thanks for reminding me....i kinda vaguely remembered it was that song...glad to know i wasn't mistaken. If you're looking for music all you need is the 2 boxed sets....the memorial song collection (6 CDs)& the memorial music box (10 CDs). If you wanna get them i suggest Sakura Media.com (all 1 word)...that's where i get many of my anime stuff....the store is in my hometown. Both of them will run you $78 CND...which is pretty cheap IMO. Some of my personal faves : Moon Revenge (perfect for the movie), You're Just my Love (usagi & mamoru sing a duet), Flame Sniper & Fire Soul Love (2 songs sung by Rei..."HOT" songs), Route Venus (sung by my GIRL <3), We Believe you (Mako-chan at her best), Eien no Melody (another Rei song...cool they kept some of the melody for the dub song Oh Starry Night), of course all the OP & ED themes....CLASSICS! A lot more i can jot down but i'll basically be naming all the songs. |

| Oh, that fight is longer in Japanese? I guess then it would be really cool. I still think "Carry On" fits so well though. Now, I have to have those uncut episodes. I remember when I first saw the "Sailor Says" for that episode a long time ago they showed a new scene with the other scouts looking like ghosts, I figured then there must have been a lot cut out... Another question- Does a Japanese dub of "Power of Love" play during the Wiseman fight? (PS We need a Serenity at the Moon Kingdom in Gendou City, hope one of you can be her!) |

Tos SHISHIO- The episode in ENglish, Day of Destiny, was actually the last two episodes of that season edited together. So, yeah, there was a lot edited out, including everyone dyeing, not being "captured." In the final fight in Sailor Moon R, against the Death Phantom (a.k.a. wiseman, which is his secret identity.) they play a really great battle song called La Soldier, which you can download on this site. I like The Power of Love, but La Soldier sets a completely different stage. Interestingly, there were no changes to the picture during that fight, but and very little dialog change. (Except, they of course took out any reference to the fact that using the Silver Crystal could kill them. They also edited that weird Power Puff Girls sound effect to the part where Chibiusa changes into her princess clothes, you know, the one where the Power Puff Girls fly during the title screen if you've ever seen it.) Even though there were so few changes, the different songs make them seem like completely different scenes. Also, all the parts where Neo-Queen Serenity was going ooh-oooh-oooh-. In Japanese she was screaming. I like the Death Phantoms Japanese voice because it is a lot better and creepier. However, I like his dub voice too, because it sounds really cheesy. If you try to imagine it without the voice warping, you realize that the actor overemphasizes EVERYTHING. -To Izumo- I know of a website where you can download songs that are exclusively Sailor Moon. They aren't mp3's though, they are ogg vorbis. I know of and like every song you've listed. My personal favorite is Sailor Star Song, but there are a lot of great character singles, too. BTW, I'm a boy. |

Um, I'm a guy too. Anyways, bring back Sailor Moon! What did you think of the songs that play on the episode about Serena's birthday, like when she's in Uranus's car? Update: I heard "La Soilder", it's good. Thanks for the info! |

I love the Sailor moon songs!! My favorite Sailor moon song has to be Tuxedo Mirage(Sailor Moon S ending), so sweet to see everyone in princess outfits. I thought the English dubbed version did a pretty good job with the series too and with the songs. I love the US song called the Power of Love. Also just to answer your question, the song they played during Usagi's birthday episode while she is in the car with Uranus and Neptune is called "Ai no Senshi". I am pretty sure of it and if you rehear the song it has the words in it too. Also one of my favorites ^_^. Very catchy. |

| In the dubbed version, they played Tear our Heart in Two, which was a dubbed version of Ai No Senshi, while in Japanese they played something completely different. Ai No Senshi was played during the fight with Rubeus and the Phantom Sisters. |

They aren't mp3's though, they are ogg vorbis" that's alright Nekorin.....i have both the music & song boxes which has almost all the songs from the sailormoon series even the character songs. I'm a guy as well....funny almost everyone who has posted here is a guy....guess we still love the series. have you seen the live-action version....it follows the storyline of the manga moreso than the anime version. if you like the manga you'll really enjoy this series....i thought it was very well done....the use of a "stuff" doll for Luna & Artemis is really funny but CG is used as well...looks kinda cool. There are many memorable scenes in the series....all the girls they cast as the sailor scouts do a excellent job bringing the characters to life. Overall the series is a worth while experience for all fans & i highly reccommend it. (Spoiler) there are a few episodes that are hard to watch just cause of the emotional content in them...fans of Minako-chan (like myself) will really be saddened....WAHHHHHH!!!!! |

What is this live one called and how do I get it? Is it available on DVD with english subtitles? Does it have new music? BTW, wow, your level is high Izumo, may I ask why yours is so? You must donate a lot too! I do as well, but I haven't donated that much (yet)! That's awesome if you do. One more BTW the drawing you have in your "describe yourself" is very, very good. I wish I could draw like that but I'm the writer/musical type! |
