| you guys remember the days of dbz? when nearly everyone just had variations of a basic power (ki)? is it just me, or is every action anime starting to include abilities like flame control or summoning into their action? dont get me wrong, i love that stuff too, but sometimes i think fights should be more technical again. it usually makes the fight more exciting too cos then a char cant just summon smth every time and win in like 10 seconds. what do u think? |

earlier episodes of naruto had the technical actions too! like sasuke vs orochimaru, kakashi vs zabuza and some from the chuunin exam... then the kimimaro vs lee and naruto vs sasuke... those are some cool fights! the use of technical battle and jutsu battle are balanced in those fights while Rurouni Kenshin... You bet, it's full of technical battles! Well, one of the reason i watch action animes is because i love to see how the human body abilities are performed in the creators' imagination, and that is done through nice fights :) As i said human, so i mean humans... Therefore i'm not interested at all to see any mecha fights... Gundam fight? Boring! Sorry to all fans...-_- |

Yu Yu Hakusho got that Martial Arts in it and PLUS..that anime is AWESOME!!!

| yeah yuyuhakusho's good, but they rushed it in the last saga, and it was boring :P. i agree on all your points, especially the bit about the artist's imagination. but to be honest i don't think i've seen a complete fusion of these two styles yet. for eg. i love naruto (esp. shikamaru, wohoo~~) and i love the smart fights, but have any of you seen a fight were they explained how different body positions affect the effectiveness of strength, or a creative move (and i dont mean jutsus and stuff) like when goku used buu as a bouncy punching bag? no i havn't. u no what, to be frank its IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to completely create a new special ability, cos they've all been used before. i think adding more technical elements will help keep things fresh too, and its using another sort of imagination. |
