For all yu-gi-oh card duelists out there. I have a question for you. Since Yu-gi-oh GX cards are now available, is it unfair for you that some of the new cards are better than the old ones? Some monster cards are also changed for example: the Celtic Guardian Card is now a effect monster, some ritual cards and fusion cards turned also into monster cards. I know its fair because its easier to summon it but how about the old cards?

First, Celtic Guardian isn't an effect card, Obnoxious Celtic Guardian is the one with the effect, and it always has. I'm not really fond of the old cards as they're not very powerful but need tributes anyway.

C'mon..i think it's very not fair to the duelist which most of the deck's filled with old card........ |

As a Yu-gi-OH! duelist and anime fan, I'd say the GX cards are still tolerable. Its true they've introduced unfair cards which can do hell if combined with compatible decks, and there are cards with almost know weaknesses at all! I think this cards just partly add in 'additional' challenges. If you trust your deck, these new cards are nothing. All this time I don't believe on 'Destiny Draw', sounds lame, even lamer watching Yugi Moto drawing critical cards at critical times..but I was proven wrong. After experiencing Destiny Draw occassionaly, major come backs is possible no matter how freak the opponent's deck. And I agree with B361N3R about 5D's cards. Gimme a break already! Synchro Summons! Plus even freakin' card effects, my jaw actually dropped on the floor watching that anime. *bows to all Yu-gi-OH! duelist and fan before leaves*
And I thought I've already 'abide' by the rules of signature.

It's not about fairness, it's about which type of deck and what strategies duelists use to win. With each new release, there is a new metagame, deck builds that are proven to produce a high probability of wins. But that doesn't mean new cards are "better". Remember, Legend of the Blue Eyes and Metal Raiders gave us Raigeki, Change of Heart, Monster Reborn, etc. They're so awesome, they got banned.... Now, as for the new cards, they're simply adding to the game, by allowing us duelist more options for new and different deck types. A good duelist has good cards, but a great duelist uses those cards effectively. You have to have cards that compliment each other. Some old cards which use to have no use at all (i.e. lv.2 normal monsters) now have potential. And new cards are always fun to use! |
