Howl's Moving Castle

Howl's Moving Castle is my number one favorite Hayao Miyazaki film. The story is great and the music is wonderful (Joe Hisashi rox my sox!). The story in general stays pretty true to the original but it has a great Hayao twist to it.

I love the song Jinsei no merry-go-round, it's the basic theme song of the whole movie. Does anyone know if there's just a piano version of that song?

wasn't the one on this site is already piano version?
even though there are other instruments on the background, but the main melody is played in piano... ^_^

Sure it has a great Hayao Miyazaki twist, but only the first third of the movie is true to the book. I understand why they changed stuff up. The movie would probably be five hours long if it stayed true to the book. I think the novel is better. It has a better ending and the witch stays evil and doesn't turn into a grandma.

The witch turns into a pile of dust, and they left out Patrick or whatever it was. You know, the guy made from two bodies?

Are you talking about the dog-man? I think his name is Percival and the witch called him Gaston in the first part of the book. He is made of Wizard Sulliman and Prince Justin's bodies.

About the music, yeah I know the main melody is played by the piano but I just wanted to know if it was just with the piano and no other instruments...

Yeah, I get what you mean about the whole novel and movie thing. Honestly, I think how the movie portrayed things was really good (except that grandma thing, she annoyed the crap out of me!). Sometimes the movie seems better and not just because it's visual action.
