X - The show and Movie

Ok, there was no threads about X, which was beginning to bug me, so I decided to start my own. chances are that not a lot of people will post any thing, but I dont care. X is by far my favorite anime and manga out there, and Im slightly obsessed with Kamui.

Subaru and Yuzuriha all the way! I watched the movie and thought it was fabulous. What with everyone dying and the head stuff at the end. Was great. But then I watched the TV series and realised the error of my ways. I only watched the series through once in a huge two day marathon so the stuff that happened is a bit blurry. But damn, Rainbow Bridge! NOOOOO *cries* I havn't read the manga. And I don't think I want to either, what with it being on hiatus and all. X... lots of angst, lots of bishies and quitea good story. Very droolworthy, indeed.

Well, I've read some of the magna, watched the series countless times, and own the movie, and I can guarentee that the show is very faithful to the manga. There are even exact lines in it lol. According to a friend of mine, they did the movie to be exactly opposite of the show, because in the show Kamui dies *cries*

X TV and the movie are one of my favs too! The bests characters for me: Subaru and the Sakurazukamori (Seishiro Sakurazuka), and Sorata especially the chapter when he dies, I almost cry!!! (not really). I haven't read the Manga, someone knows how many tomes it has? (Hell, I don't know that).

well, I think there are about 15 volumes, I know that there are 8 volumes in the tv show. I cried some what unstopably when Kamui died, and in the movie you kind of expect it lol

in France , there is 18 volume of the manga and 5 of the Tv serie. I dind't like the end of the movie because , Kamui ( the real one ) was supposed to died . They did this big mistake because the movie was made before the end of the Manga . anyway , X is my favorite Anime .

I really liked the movie (but then, I didn't read the manga, so I don't know how it's supposed to end). I haven't had the opportunity to finish the TV series.  |

I'm getting to episode 16. It took me ...I don't know...probably 4 years now to download this series. and lo and behold, I'm still nto done. It's really weird, cause when I first started getting obsessed with it - I watched the movie first - it was nowhere on the net. I have this habit of watchign all the less mainstream animes. About two years ago. You guys probably know animetorrents.com and that closed down. I saw it become a major hit there, but by then I was basically done and had no need to download the collection all over again. When I got a new comp, I downloaded a bit off of each, and i got all the episodes, backup disks, you name it, mixed up. I swore I finished downloading the series. Now that I've gotten around to watching it, I've found I've had to stop my marathon. haha. I was plannign to finish the series in 3 days. - average of 8 episodes a day basically. I haven't read the manga, it's in the stores here, but I would say the sereis - not finished yet - is so far MUCH better than the movie. The towers in the sea covered in moss and what not was probably what captivated me the most in the movies. Hey Kay, if you have a poster of that, let me know where I can get one. I love that image. |

woot! It's definitely nice to see an X thread here! ^__^ Out of all of CLAMP's works, I still like X the most! *grins* I've seen the movie first and got really confused with it. It was so abrupt that I really didn't enjoy it. ^^;; But then my friend lent me XTV! And wow! My view definitely changed and I became obsessed with X since! I just love the angsty plot and the characters of the story. Oh and the manga's really amazing! I just love the art!!! *__* as for my favourite character... ahehe... Sumeragi Subaru all the way! ^^ followed by Sakurazuka Seishirou and Arisugawa Sorata.  |

I agree, I think that X is the best of all of CLAMP's works. I own the movie and the tv series, but I'm confused. there's also an X movie called "Yocho," what's that about? I wanna buy it, but... I dunno...but, yeah! Arashi and Karen are my favorite females, and all the guys on the show are awesome. I cried for a week when I saw the end of the series. SOOO different from the movie ending. I wonder how much worse it'll be in the manga T.T |

yep. It IS the best. Kamui/Fuuma forever... I really liked the last part of the TV series... You know, the part where Kamui gave that 'speech' about all things heartwarming. And to make it even better, Sadame's playing in the background. Really heartwarming. Gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Can't believe I actually missed this thread. -smacks head- I've read some reviews saying that X is actually the series that got CLAMP to be really popular. I can understand. It so rocks. Gives me things to think about too. Kinda random but just a question I've been dying to ask. What if the kamuis didn't get shikens but rather, gigantic scissors... It just popped in my head when I was sugar high. Now I can't forget it... Anyway, X ROCK!!! Yay.

ey ppl i have a hughe problem the series intro has a great song theme, this "birds and butterflys..." but its nowhere on the OST, just ExDream, but thats not the series theme...who sings the real one, would love 2 get it! |
