What do your parents say about Shounen ai or Yaoi?

I don't think my mom knows about it. I mean she knows about GuyxGuy, but i don't know if she knows its in anime? I don't even think she knows the workl Yaoi or Shounen ai lol She probably wouldn't want me watching the yaoi (But i don't watch to much of that anyway) but I don't think she would care about the Shounen ai...She may not like it herself but she might let me watch it. I was in Barnes and Nobles and I really wanted to get this Manga that was Yaoi...but I didn't want her to see it and make a scene inside of the store U know? Even though it was my money...so I ended up not getting it. It was painful to walk away....^_^ lol

My parents don't know. I'm not really a fan of Yaoi(sex between any two individuals whether male or female scares me), but Shounen ai is awesome. If my parents found out, they'd kill me 'cause they're so self-righteous. My parents are big time Bible-thumpers. XD They always talk about how society's going to hell because of its "wickedness". ^.^; ~ S.A. |

| I really like Yaoi. I bought this manga called "Only the Ring Finger Knows" and it made me fall in love with Yaoi. My parents (well, at least my dad) don't know about it. I showed my mom, but I don't think that she remembers. My dad is a total Homophobe, so if he found out, he'd probably torch my book. What I don't get is the difference between Yaoi and Shonen-ai 0.o |

Shounen-ai is just pure love between boys,hugs,kisses... Yaoi is love betw boys and with sex scenes.... I'm not sure how many times I have repeated these two meaning in this forum^^U Only the Ring Finger Knows is nice the story^^ |

never on earth will I let them know that I love yaoi / shounen-ai. they will surely kill me! >____> yeah, they did not even let me watch brokeback mountain. but as if! haha. I've watched it much earlier. roflmao. [watched it at a friend's house. :P]  |

zomg.... if my parents found out i think they'd kill me and reject me forever...>.< i cant have that.. nope...squee... it too dangerous to keep my doujishi's in my house now.. cuz i got the yaoi and shonen ai manga O.o but my friend has my most graphic one..wheew.... just hope they dont find out, cuz it goes against my religion too..dang.. i'm a bad person... T_T

LOl so most of are parents dont know we watch it. My mom isn't a "Homophobe" but the thought of ManxMan creeps her out...I don't know about my dad. He would probably ban me from Tv and Computer if he knew i watched it. I just wish parents could see that it's not all bad. OK so some scenes are...a bit revealing but that just makes the love stronger right? ^_~ The only thing is i can't get the DVD's by myself. Im only 14 (turning 15) and can't have an ebay account or anything like that yet. So if i was to buy Yaoi or Shounen Ai, she would know. Plus Im broke, but i do have a credit card. Though she could easliy see whats on that. So either way im screwed. I would have to tell her and lets just say "BOOM" Major explsion is i had too. Oh and my mom didnt let me see Brokeback mountian either (THough she doesnt know i have connections AKA Friends with the Dvd) So i am going to hang at my friends house and watch it sometime. I have seen some clips from it. It looks so cute!! I don't understand how any one could hate/think and anime (Yaoi shounen ai) was disgusting... But my mom does and im a bit ashamed. I think that if you truly love someone you have the right to be with them, no matter what sex. My one friends mom is so cool, she buys her yaoi, manga, anything like that. Im like "DAMN! I want your mom to buy me stuff" Wow i write alot. ^_^

umm i watch mine on youtube..but one Violamere got banned so there isnt much yaoi left..>.<... yeah if my parents found out i think they would totally break down and ban me and my brother from the computer, tv, freedom, friends, and she'll have to look at every book i buy..not good cuz i already have alot of yaoi/shonen ai....plus. they're religious freaks.. well i am sorta but i cant help liking it!! wahhhhh ...;_;

My mother knows about it, and she says it's disgusting. I also think she assumes I'm a lesbian for watching,and reading yaoi. All in all I don't think she minds, just as long as I'm not watching (or reading) anything too explict.
