gundam seed newtypes

The list of possible Newtypes in Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny/SEED Astray are as follows:

Al Da Flaga, Sr.
Rau Le Creuset (aka Al Da Flaga, Jr., cloned son of Al Da Flaga, Sr.)
Mu La Flaga (aka Neo Lorrnoke)
Rey Za Burrel (Al Da Flaga clone)
Morgan Chevalier
Prayer Reverie (possible Mu La Flaga clone)
Kira Yamato
Courtney Hieronimus
Charles Kane (Moebius Zero pilot)
Winters (Moebius Zero pilot)
Lindgren (Moebius Zero pilot)

NOTE: Al Da Flaga's Newtype DNA was used in Dr. Hibiki's Ultimate Coordinator project. Although this was never explicitly stated outright, it would explain the connection between Kira, Canard, Rey, Rau, and Mu.

That's a curious prospect, we do see newtypes being cloned in ZZ as well, but by then they'd identified procesees to artificialy ehance them anyway...

What bugs me though, how was the good doctor was able to identify not only the newtype phenomena (without even a philosophical prompt to start him in the right direction...) but was also able to isolate a gene for it... All while he was preocupied with creating a coordinator that came out exacly as expected? Dr. Flanagan is going to be royaly pissed...

But that begets the question: If Hibiki had identified such a phenomena, why did he keep it for his private cloning experiments? Identifying such a phenomena, and providing such tangible proof to back it up would have made artificial womb seem ridiculously trivial in comparison!

(I don't realy like the 'newtypes are genetic' idea myself...)

possibly...it's a private experiment the he wants to gain it's benefits for himself.
and btw, in the zz gundam, the reason why they're clones it's because it will be an advantage afterall to have cloned newtypes as an army for there're only few that exist with such dangerous capablities. and u.c. newtypes are naturally given and it cannot be enhanced through genetic manipulation or even enhancements like afrancia char for example. he's char clone but he hasn't yet reached the 'next one' level yet only newtype for now unlike char aznable.

There's a bit of a complication with that statement about enhancement. It is confirmed of course, that newtypes can be artificialy produced, Four and Gyunei are perfect evidence of that. I have no doubt, however, that the enhancement process does not involve genetic engineering. After all, we see flaws in the process, which tends to result in mental instability. If the process was caried out on a genetic level, the flaws would manifest in dissorders that relate to genes: cancer, ulcers, immuno deficiencies, ect.

And while again, I don't agree with this 'Next One' talk, even if such a tier existed, Char Aznable would certainly not be uppon such a plateu. By the standards set by newtypes such as Amuro, Lalah, Camile, Judau, Haman, and Sirroco, Char's newtype potential falls significantly short.

that's true about char, he's not really the strongest newtype but he's an excellent pilot. while amuro is a very powerful newtype but a good pilot but not an excellent. that's those two are equals in the first place.
still i will stand for the 'next one' term because amuro, camile, judau, and etc. falls in the definition. according to my own understanding and observation.
