What's Your Favourite Japanese Alcoholic Drink?

I can't believe no one has ever asked this question before... (o_o) At least, I haven't found this specific topic in the forum, yet. (^^;;) What's your favourite type of Japanese alcoholic drink? (For people who have tried alcohol that was made in Japan.) This includes Japanese beer: Asahi, Kirin, or Sapporo. (Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in Japan, as it is preferred by more than 60% of the Japanese population.) If you like sake (nippon-shu), what kind do you like? Sake from different regions of Japan have different tastes. (Example: Awamori from Okinawa. ↠That's the only one I know of! *lol*) My favourite Japanese alcoholic drink of all-time is umeshu. (^Q^) It's the sweetest drink I've ever tasted from a strong(ish) alcohol!! (^o^;;) Also, as a general alcohol, I'd recommend anything that's cassis-flavoured. Example: cassis cocktail. It's sweet and kind of girly, so men may want to use caution when ordering this drink! (^o~) *lol* |

well, that all depends on the season doesn't it! Spring: sake, unfiltered, served cold Fall: plumb wine Winter: sake, filtered, served hot Summer: asahi or kirin, served cold No, I'm not an alcoholic!

Nearly every night I was there I had a Green Apple Chuuhai. And I quite enjoyed the Ramune Sour I had at one restaurant. And Green (a very good shouchuu) mixed with Pepsi Red is also very tasty ^.^  |

Waaa~i!!! There's a lot of different drinks for us to sample, then!! (^Q^) They have Pepsi Red over there? Wow! Well.. the next time I go to Japan, I'll have to try some of your favourite drinks!! (^o^)b No, none of us are alcoholics... (XD) It's just a little 'social drinking!!' (^o~)v *lol* |

My favorite alcoholic drink is probably toso, which is sake steeped with toso herbs. It's served every New Year.   --> |

I don't drink, though I have sake after a meal, and only if it is at my friends house. Then we drink some tea and talk about stuff. Mmmm, sake, nice and warm, then some tea after, like a sledgehammer to the brain.  |

when i went to japanese bar i tried the suntory scotch blend it wasnt as good as the ones from scotland but it was soft and semi smooth. I like sweet sake the most. Sapporo beer i can get even in the deli next to my house in texas so i never run out of those. i have this umeboshi plum wine and its called Fuku i laughed when i first saw it. the first 3 letter and then the u. i think the name was made for me. im so happy to look at the bottle and show it around.  |

Warm Sake :D I've even had that in like, different seasons, other then just winter like Gendou Mentioned :O It's really good and the only thing I've ever had alchoholic warm that isnt horribly nasty :x |

I like sake too! Some are really sweet! I tasted sake on a study trip to where I was on exchange. The place happened to be a fmous sake-brewing district. But I can't really remember the types... I also like umeshu (although I don't like plums...), especially the honey-flavoured ones that makes the taste even sweeter! Sorry, but I am not a fan of bitter alcoholic stuff... 届ã‹ãªãã¦ã‚‚ 追ã„ã‹ã‘㦠|

| Chu-hi. ANY flavor. Especially orange. Goes well with anything, at any time, during any situation. Also makes for a good wind down after a flyer grabbing session. |
