Okay this is an interesting experiment that needs to be explainde throughly. First of all lobsters have a thing called the statocyst which resides inside their antennetules which arethe secound smallest to the two main antenna. Well the statocyst is what the lobster uses to find the center of gravity by putting sand in it. Gravity the pushes down on these grains thus letting the lobster know where the ground is at all times. However an experiment was done in which metal shavings replaced the sand in the statocyst. A professer then placed a magnet on the side of the aquarium and the lobsters tried to climb it thinking it was the ground. Interesting huh.  Japanese girls love Darth Vader...... |
