I believe there is a thread much like this created already. I do not think it will sucessful as it is in japan because the decision of voice actors was bad (so far in my opion) |

From the trailer video that I saw, it looks much, much better than the dub of Naurto. I haven't had the chance to see it yet though. |

Heh, it aired on YTV the night before you guys saw it :p Honestly, I didn't find the dub so bad. Ichigo's voice was fine, and all the better if he can gradualy work some hotblooded anger into it as the story progresses. His family were perfectly adapted, IMO, and besides the whole 'Soul Reaper' nonsense, and refusal to use the word 'hell' (seriously, how are they going to explain those big evil doors that come up later?) the adaption was fairly accurate. Rukia was definately more softspoken than she should be at this point in the story, but since the Soul Society arch seems to come up rather quickly in the anime version, I don't mind. This voice will be quite suitable for the inexplicably melancholy Rukia of that segment. The only voice I was realy dissapointed with was that Hollow... The Japanese version had this sort of... braindead evil spirit thing going on, all driven by instinct and so forth... The english version, on the other hand, was more of a 'Generic McBadguy' thing... I hope they improve the voicework for the hollows, as the status quo here has potential to ruin the more in-depth hollows we're going to start seeing realy realy soon... Modified for spoilers, Sorry! |
