finished reading Rurouni Kenshin!
|
ya, there will be some spoilers, just a little FYI Ah, the last three volumes went by so fast. see, the last third of RK was never made into an anime, so everything i didnt see on CN and youtube, i got to read. let me tell you, it was awsome! but i dont feel like going into all of that. the final battle was about Kenshins past love, a girl named tomoe. she accidentally died by the hands of kenshin, and if youve seen Samurai X, you would know this. so, kenshin is fighting Tomoes brother, Enishi. and they have a long drawn out fight that was awsomem with kenshin as the victor. yadda yadda yadda the ending was good, i didnt know how RK was supposed to be wrapped up and im pleased with how it was done. Kenshins body began to deterriorate (sp) and he is now unable to use the Hiten Mitzurugi Ryu. He marrioed Kouru-dono and had a kid. Yahiko took over the kamakashin school becomming the new master. at the age of 15 no less! bah, he acts older than fifteen sanoske fled the country as he upset the wrong people and was being chased. adn that was the end. it was such an awsome manga! i downloaded the whole manga, over a long perioed of time. it came out to be 1.2 gigs with many many folders nad files. if youd like to read the RK manga, go to gh.ffshrine.org/manga and find RK you wont be dissapointed. or you can go to a bookstore and purchase all the volumes. |

I finally completed my RK collection earlier this summer, and for all Watsuki's frantic apologies and self-deprication, you would never expect him to reach such an elegant ending. Even if he never went on to Buso Renkin, he earned his place as a manga artist. The most disappointing thing about the RK anime was watching it wander off into lame filler episodes (kinda like what Naruto's doing right now), when the Enishi story would have ended the series with a bang! (Not to mention bookend the prequel OVA "Trust and Betrayal" in the same stroke.) I picked up the first "Yahiko no Sakabatou" psuedo-sequel a while back, but habe yet to read it yet. Guess a part of me still wants more Kenshin... Perhaps someday they'll do a FULL OVA/miniseries of the final stretch-- and hopefully bring back as much of the original voicecast as possible. I dare say it would be one of the greatest tragedies in anime history if it was never animated. ![]() |

For you who has finished reading the manga... Don't you think yahiko is a little... Overpowered? For a brat like that to win a fight against experienced killers... That's way too much -_- As for the last part of the manga... Well, actually the movie showed a little... Very little of it... :P Just the kenshin vs enishi part... |

@Sai: I sort of know what you mean about Yahiko, but keep in mind it WAS a shonen manga, which means that there's always going to be a "younger generation" type character comin' up. Though at least Watsuki didn't pull a "Gohan" with him: he was indeed strong, but didn't just up and become more powerful than Kenshin or something. After reading your post, I thought about it for a moment and realized (forgetting about anything as unrealistic as him beating Shishio or Enishi) that the best way to gain a perspective of Yahiko's relative strength was to try imagine how he'd do in some of the following matches: Yahiko VS Sano Yahiko VS Jin-e Yahiko VS Saito Yahiko VS Aoshi Yahiko VS Seta Though I will concede that a couple of Yahiko's later fights were a little over the top, but still fun. ![]() |

@Mirai no Yume Yeah he's no gohan... It's just that yahiko made me think "He's got to be the strongest one when he grow up...", well, he beats kenji after all! |

ya yahiko was a bit to powerful. he is supposed to be 15 and he can beat some fighting masters? come on! but oh well :P the manga can be downloaded at gh.ffshrine.org/manga 28 volumes, 255 chapters. the anime was around 90 eps, but the last thirty were filler. |
