I couldn't get one at launch, unfortunately, but I will hopefully have mine in a few days. This thread is for impressions, problems, broken parts (of the Wii or of your household from flying Wiimotes), or general Wii discussion and fun. |

yeah... aside from the PS3 this is what im targeting for... Wii has a nice line up... (and i believe that it has the best line-up in the release of the 3 next-gen consoles) and is a good party system... (Me and my drinking buddies had a blast playing Mario Party for the GC) Lols... did you know how Gamespot got their system? via Ice Cream truck! hahaha Gamespot's Wii Delivery   Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

=/ i heard it was heaps easier to get Wi compared to PS# as i was told that PS3 was more limiting.. and that Wii, everyone waited in a orderly fashion .. with more in stock |

You mean Red Steel I assume? Anyway, I like the Wii, it's way better than the GC, but I'm still leaning towards the PS3, there are a lot of games I'm expecting for it. The 360 is probably the last system I would consider getting.    |

There is only one problem with the Wii. When you don`t pay attention you`ll get the controller in your face! ^^ But I think it`s lot of fun playing the Wii. BTW: how much does it cost?   |

| jez, I didnt get a wii but as far as i know the next shipment is on thursday. also the ice cream truck is what nintendo used to deliver the wii to many game reviewers like gamespot and stuff... its ingenious XD also it seems like the people on this forum are not very informed about the Wii... its $249.99 for the Wii with controler, nunchuck, Wii sports and a sensor bar, then its $49.99 for games like Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and its $39.99 for a controller and $19.99 for the nunchuck, but overall, at least for right now, the Wii is probrably the best choice, especially with the PS3 being $600, and the Ps3 doesnt have that many good launch titles, im just waiting for MGS4 and FFXIII. also the statistics show there were 400k PS3's and 800k Wii's out on launch day in the US. (remember, not all the PS3's are deluxe versions) so the Wii is much easier to get. |

I'd rather go with the PS3, like on the show I was watching last night and what I said in my last post, the Wii seems more like a novelty that will wear off after a little while. I wouldn't go as far as the guys on AOTS as to say it's a 'gimmick' but it seems like it's fun for the first little while and about a year from now the whole wii-mote thing and it's games will just feel like the same old-same old. That's the question I want to point out[Although it's more of a question not asking for a response] sure the Wii is fun and new now, everything seems so fresh, but will it really have the same feel a year from now? Like when you get something that looks really cool, you play with it a bit and use it, then you just sort of toss it in the closet. |

I got a Wii on launch day and I can't stop playing it! I haven't had this much fun in ages! On Saturday, I'm bringing it to my friends house for multiplayer fun! Everyone buy Zelda first! It's amazing! |

I'll be getting my Wii when it releases here in Europe December 8th, with Zelda of course. @Jonathon Wii at least brings something new, and by your reasoning you can toss the PS3 immediatly in the closet as its just the same old same old

I heard Wii is cheaper than any other game consoles aside from handhelds, is it true or is it even more expensive than the Ps2/Ps3? Cause if it's cheap, then I'll be urged to buy one someday  |

@Sheep- The difference is the PS3 has better graphics, once the novelty has worn off of the Wii it won't have the power to keep in league with the PS3 and 360. It doesn't look like it will have what it takes to hold out for 4 or 5 years. The PS3 and 360 looking better and doing more multi-media things will get more life. Something new is not always a good thing, just because you bring in some new feature or otherwise doesn't mean you've got the upper hand in the long run. Yeah, it's new, but so was the DS, now the DS is nothing special, the touch screen isn't something innovative anymore it's just the same old same old. In some respects the Wii isn't anything new or innovative either, afterall when you get right down to it, the Wii is really just a bigger version of the DS that doesn't require touch. |

Yes, I think Jonathon is right. Imagine you buy the Wii. After a while it`s nothing new anymore. You may have more fun than the others for a month or so but after that you`ll get used to it and it`s normal for you. The PS3 and the 360 have better graphics and for a long range they will have the upper hand. |

@Sheep- I never implied that. I'm saying the Wii isn't powerful and that once the novelty of the controller wears off it won't be anything spectacular, it'll be just like PS3 and the 360 which is when those two systems will pull ahead. |

From what i've heard the wii isn't as spectacular as everyone thought. Medicore reviews and rumors of interface problems have been poping up all over forums and websites. Perhaps nintendo should have tried to create a system that actually feels next gen rather than a current gen console with an "innovative" controller.  Japanese girls love Darth Vader...... |
