Le Chevalier D'Eon
|
I am just wondering if there are any other people who are either watching this anime, or have heard some really good things with how the episodes are leading to. I am currently on episode 11 and can't get enough~! This anime actually is making me have to do some research on the royal history or France and the interaction with other countries, even if parts of the anime are clearly fiction. Does anyone have any other suggestions on anime that would fit into this sort of "historical-anime" factor? |

I have watched "Peacemaker Kurogane" and enjoyed it immensely, and I'm excited about this new anime you're talking about 'Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto'. What's the premise? Is there a thread in Gendou that is talking about this? |

so far, it's rather intriguing, and the animation is top-notch. what i don't really like is how they have beaumont be possessed by his sister - were the writers afraid to depict the historical transsexual beaumont? concerning historical anime, there are quite a few of various genre from action-adventure to romance to horror. if you mean ones in which some characters are actual historical figures, then that narrows it down a bit. off the top of my head, i can only think of a few: rurouni kenshin, rose of versailles, samurai deeper kyo, otogizoshi, basilisk and the aforementioned peacemaker. of course, these all take great liberties in their portrayals of historical figures. |

To neko-chi/ neko-sama The link to the thread you set up for 'Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohaniheto' is really neat, especially since you put up a picture of the main character from the anime. I must say, he looks pretty dashing with his dark outfit~! I think it's amazing for this thread to generate as many responses as it did on the Le Chevalier D'Eon anime, and I can't wait to look up some of the other historical anime suggestions that everyone sent. The opening AND ending songs for the anime are just WONDERFUL. I end up listening to both songs at least once a day, regardless if I'm watching the anime or not. I haven't watched enough episodes to generate a theory on the reason why Lia is so angry and in shock over the "traitor". *sigh* I wonder how the the last episode goes... |

I liked it the moment I saw the first episode. |
