Aerith/Aeris is ALIVE! Well sorta..........

I was just reading an article on wikipedia about Aerith from FF7 and found somethings that were interesting: From "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerith_Gainsborough" under section "Maiden who Travels the Planet": ".......The story revealed that a Cetra's strength of will and understanding of the Planet allows their consciousness to exist within the Lifestream without being diluted. Aerith begins a journey through the Lifestream........" And from the same site under section "Kingdom Hearts": "Due to the allowances provided by Kingdom Hearts being an alternate universe independent of the continuity of both Final Fantasy and Disney, Aerith also makes a notable appearance in this series.........." So therefore her consciousness is still alive in the lifestream in the FF7 universe and explains how she and Zack made there appearance in FF7: Advent Children, and she is truly alive in the Kingdom Hearts universe.  |

ahhh so my theory was right after all!hahaha well sorta because on the ending of ff7 aeris saved them from meteor... so her "spirit" still lives on...and i believe she found the promise land within the lifestream...so to say she has become one with the life stream... on the kingdom hearts thing it her i guess but so is the flower girl in ff tactics... |

The reason she is seen alive in the KH universe is because the FF characters in that game are from a different reality. All the FF characters in KH have nothing to do with any event that happened in FF, so that's why she's not dead. In simple terms anything said by the FF characters relating to any other FF character or FF event is made up.    |

| hehehe all ff characters from KH are just cameos...but what about clouds appearance in fft! its the time he was stuck in the lifestream when he appeared in fft's universe! |

@Jonathon Well you can't really say it's made up, it just follows a different storyline that doesn't relate to the FF7 universe, but I get what you mean, maybe made up wasn't the best word to use. |

That sound better? Aerith IS dead, that's all there is to it. She's part of the lifestream but that's not alive. So the bottom line is Aerith is dead, she's not alive, she's not going to come back and she's not going to be with Cloud. Sorry Aerith fans, just deal with the fact she isn't coming back or is still around. "By their[Production staff] admission, Aerith's death was always intended to be a permanent and tragic event, a response to the dramatic clichés of heroic sacrifice and resurrection." |

YEESSS, her conciousness is still alive (Gaia's Theory) even though I already knew this information!!! You have rekindled my hope even though her death was a plot device to add emotion and overall appeal to the game. Now if we could just kill off Barret and Cait Sith...

| If Aeris is alive according to 'Funsch', then by that definition, nobody is dead as Sephiroth has explained, EVERY life will flow back into the lifestream. WOW! that means that everybody that you thought dead, are actually alive. So if you ever felt guilty about killing the monsters to train your characters, then take comfort that they are still alive and well playing around in the lifestream, now, doesn't that sound ridiculous! |

@Zephyr lol, is there actually anyone feeling guilty about killing the monsters? XD Well, let's face it guys, what jonathon said is true, by the definition of "living" she doesn't really match it... As a human being, she's dead. But as Zephyr said, every life returns to the lifestream, so in the ff7 universe, she still exists as a part of the lifestream. She's not "alive", but she "exists"... That's how you should see life in the ff7 universe. |

So let me make this clear. Aerith is NOT Alive. But She EXIST in the lifestream. The Aerith in KH is not connected to the FF7 universe in anyway except in character. If you don't belive me, then watch Advent Children. If you haven't already, then you deserve to be burned aided by gassoline and your ashes to be pooped on by dogs (j/k but you are a sad,sad soul if you hadn't).

I certainly don't lose any sleep over it.XD Besides, I don't feel sad that Aerith died, why would I feel guilty about the monsters? Hell, I would have killed Aerith myself if I was given the chance. If you couldn't tell, I hate Aerith. She's useless. |

@Sinweaver- I've thought a lot about that too last time I played FFVII. Why does everyone like Aerith so much? What's so special about her? And why do so many people believe Aerith and Cloud should be together? Aerith came out of no-where and all of a sudden people think she is Cloud's soul-mate. Tifa is the better one, she and Cloud actually have history. |

That is a contemplation worthy of another thread really... And TifaxCloud does sound much more probable than AerithxCloud. Aerith was just this flower girl... And Tifa and Cloud have history, like you said Jonathon....

Hey, Aeris is still alive...just in another form...a less annoying form. As for Cloud pairing, I guess it really doesn't matter (at the time that Aeris was alive), because for the time that Aeris WAS alive Cloud was, for the most part a mental puppet whose only grasp on any memory before the occurence with Sephiroth (which includes any real intimate memories with Tifa) were created from either his experiences with Zach, Tifa, or anybody else who played a part in his life, thus he probably doesn't have any past-driven feelings for Tifa (which is shown in numerous parts in the game) which would make him NOT focus on Aeris. By the time that Cloud DOES regain his memories, he has emotional attachment to both Tifa and Aeris which would rule anything else out. I believe the reason that people like Aeris so much (compared to say Tifa) is because the emotional drama associated with her is so great that people (who actually focus on her) can't help but be attached to her. Besides, based on what they are used to, some people might be attracted to Aeris's attributes compared to Tifa (I really don't have a preference, for they both have boobs.). I personally think that Cloud's true soulmate...is Barret.

First, I will treat your last comment NOT as a joke so.... WTF?!?! YOU ARE A SICK MINDED PERSON!!!! DIE A VERY PAINFUL DEATH AS YOU THINK OF THOSE GOD AWFUL YAOI THINGS!!! There.... Secondly, I guess you have a point in the whole pairing thing. Thirdly, How do you see the concept of 'alive'? An alive thing needs to be a breathing and essecially have a physical manifastation of it. Aerith has none of that. The life stream is just a physical manifastation created for visual means, not anything else (see religions for more info). And OBVIOUSLY she ain't breathing, you unwitting male, so I conclude that Aerith is not 'alive' but still exist in the lifestream like in Evangelion, which everyone is turned in to one being (that is the basic concept of it...), when ever they like it or not......
