Gundam Seed, it was one of the only ones that really showed a fear, horror and unexpectedness in war. GSD had too many mass destruction scenes and too over the top.

Some of the other Gundam series never really focused on the soldiers, it was more focused on the political side of things and the mission of the characters. Case in point, Heero in GW.

Gundam SEED was good throughout for the most part.

Gundam SEED:Destiny....good at the beginning than the Kira & Lacus fanboys/fangirls complained causing the series to lose its overall quality.

For me the best series...well not really a series...more a movie.

Gundam : Char's Counterattack is by far the coolest Gundam i've seen....awesome looking Gundams...ie: Char Aznable's MSN-04 Sazabi (image on the left)& Amano Ray's Rx-93 v Gundam (NU Gundam) (image on the right).

Vs.
And of course a wicked "FINAL" battle between these two storied rivals! What can be better!

GUNDAM SEED is the best Gundam series in my opinion.

Like someone said, a lot of the older ones concentrate more on the political issues than on the characters, and I find that a bit (actually, VERY) boring. In Seed, it's a lot based on the characters as individuals, their relationships and so on, and I like that. And the characters are interesting and different, somehow.

In Destiny, what went wrong was adding the bunch of girls (Stellar, Meyrin and Lunamaria). I don't like the series poor attempt at relationships and love triangles and whats not <_<;;

Gundam Wing was all right, but everything apart from the interaction between Heero and Duo (and some of the other main guys) was pretty boring. It was too slow paced, or something, I don't know.

Turn A Gundam went downhill after the first five-or-so episodes.

I'd like to hear it too. I mean yeah Gundam Wing was a cool show, but it was too caught up in politics and such.

Like Taiyou said, your not wrong because it's your opinion, just want to hear why you thought so.^^

And yes, I also got bored of Gundam Wing pretty quick (I still watched the whole show though.).

i dont really think it was about politics to much, it had its parts where it went into the lives of the 5 gundam pilots as well as the oz organization and all the other organizations and factions. i just didnt think seed apalled me it took away from the fighting scenes and the graphics wernt that good and the story line sucked and i loved gundam wings story line and action. and the endless waltz movie was awesome as well. thats basicly my thoughts right there

I can comfortably admit I loved Wing when it first aired, it has an overwhelming quality that made it a realy good introductory Gundam series. When I look back at it now though, I can acknowledge its shortcomings. In particular, the emphasis the show placed on the political side of its respective conflicts coupled with the relatively unrealistic fasion in which it's depicted (unmaintainable political philosopy A vs unmaintainable political philosophy B) ultimately hampered the show. Worse still, the last stage of the series, involving Zechs joining the crazy anti-earth organization and subsequently leading them to try and destroy earth was an unfortunately excessive transformation of his character over such a short period of time, and ultimately, it now simply strikes one as an attempt to pay homage to Char, who developed along the same lines over period of roughly ten years.

Likewise, Seed has some highs and lows. The first half of the series had certain potential to it, despite the frustrating alternation between action and character developing eppisodes, it had an overall 'solve this problem' approach to the battles in particular and realy captured how the characters felt oppressed in this battle between two apparently equaly moraly ambiguous factions. Of course, all that flew out the window when the Freedom showed up and all the battles lost their teeth. Worse still when it became readily apparent that neither faction was 'moraly ambiguous' but simply 'evil.'

As such, I prefer a lot of the older shows, particularily Zeta or 0083, where you could see the characters and how the conflict impacted them while seeing just enough of the politics to understand just what sort of hell awaited them. For that same quality, I realy, realy enjoyed the novel trilogy written by Tomino (the famous Gundam director) and the oroginal series it was based uppon because of its significance marking the point where giant robots evolved into something that didn't nessesarily have to be a Mazinger Z ripoff.

G Gundam was the best, hands down.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

I'd go with Gundam X, despite the animators have to cut it short. Same with F91. Both have been cut short by the producers, but still showed a solid continuity. GX for its new Under the Moonlight manga, and F91's successor the Crossbone Gundam manga. Besides, F91's Crossbone Vanguard has a theme inspired by the Star War's imperial song and some cool mechas to boot. ^_^

I thought G Gundam, Gundam X, and Gundam 0083 was the best.
