Help in DragonQuest VIII! Hurry!

Okay....I finally decided to play DragonQuest VIII again because I don't remember why I stopped.Then I remembered!I,m stuck tring to kill The Lord Of The Dragovians for the second time.His first form is easy but then came Vermillion Dragon.His gigaFlash is annoying and his desperate attack always kills a party member!People say they've killed him at level 39 but I'm at level 43 which is pissing me off! Any help would be nice!Seriously!

You've most likely done this, but just in case, I suggest you make note of your equipment. People might be beating this at Level 39 because they have some stronger equips. Maybe you there was something useful that you missed finding, or you didn't make it in the Alchemy Pot. Another thing to make note of is skill setup. Maybe others have strong skills that you might not have. If you can't beat the King of Dragovians at Level 43, don't sweat it, just train some more. Beating it at a lower level might give you some bragging rights, but if you're just out to beat the thing, go for it at a higher level. |

Hmmm, if I recall the Vermillion Dragon was a pain in the ass (though the Darksteel Dragon will always have a special place in my heart for ass pains). Although you have probably already read this from gamefaqs, if you have Dragon Soul (obtainable at level 65) USE IT!! Otherwise since your level is low, you could probably let Hero and Yangus tense up and attach while Jessica and Angelo use Timbrel of Tension (...alchemy)/cure. There are other forms of the Dragovian Lord that are tougher than this incarnation so you might wish to train a bit before facing them (although if you want to have your ego bashed in by all means, challenge them).

Okay ....after tough leveling up,alchemy and tough negotiations with my Ps2(involving a hammer and a good shoe for stomping)I have sucessfully defeated the Vermillion Dragon. Thanks to all that have wrote down things and sorry I took to long to reply back after i killed that damn retarded dragon!
