What songs would you recommend that is ideally calm and helps you studying? (Karaoke songs are ideal) Because I hate silence. (Note: Songs that "Do Not" have Voices or Vocals, because it destracts me)

Mozart and Baroque style music (think Pachebel's Canon in D) have both been shown in studies to improve retention of study materials.

Yea, those classical no-vocals music would be good. Like some instrumental music (like Mozart) or how about some ocean-like music? XDD

The opera song, from BLOOD+ called "Diva" is really good. I relax to that. And also if you go to Blue Laguna's, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross music is ideal! They are all really good, but download the ones you want.

To find Blue Laguna's if you've not already known of it, just google it 'kay, mate?

Enjoy.

Eva - Ode to Joy, Beethoven's 9th Symphony
Bleach - le Chante Passer le Temps
Pachebel's Canon in D has been used as background music in anime.
Yoko Kanno - classical scores for Escaflowne, Macross

Look around. Lots of anime use classical music as part of their scores.

Whats the difference if its from a game or from an anime? Its still just music without vocals....

Anyway, try e-snips.com. You can download some anime OSTs and whatnot. Look for BLOOD+ songs. There are few with vocals. Experiment and try your luck with some classical music. If you have E-Donkey, or Lime Wire look for Suite No. 5 in C Minor Prelude by Bach. Its amazing, and Haji from BLOOD+ plays it. You Tube has it too, so listen to it and see if you like it. The one by Yo YO Ma is longer though.

To be frank, like Eiko said, music especially from the Baroque era+Mozart helps, as in the context of studying aid.
Bach's music are mostly polyphonic as in more than 1 melody being played at the same time (eg. Prelude and Fugue)
Polyphonic music helps stimulate the inner brain (like remembering skills)
As for the anime OST side of music, highly recomended are Final Fantasy songs (be it 1 to 11)
My favourites are Mahoromatic OSTs, they've got a great composer behind them (forgotten who)

wow! nice info here.
So far I got songs like:
Canon
Some FFX Background music
and many more!

Though I don't want songs that actually put me to sleep because they're
boring.

If you're wondering how i get Game songs:

go to: http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/browse/all

Ok, ill stick with wat ive seen the study by some profesor on tv that i watched a few yrs back now... i still use it and its pretty alright for me.

The genre of the music u should listen to improve concentration for study is "Marching songs" ie: those classical musics done by marching bands for parades.

Classic is a alternative, but i rekon marching song edges out in studying.

Hope that would've helped u out

Good luck with all ur studies
