has anybody watched it? how many episodes are there? It was shown in the philippines before but unfortunately they did a really bad job of dubbing it.... ... What does magun, madoushi and makenshi mean? thanks to anyone who could help me out.... Sin can only be erased by blood.... intocaccible- Noir

I've seen the whole series, and I believe it was 25 episodes (I seem to recall it being just short of the usual 26 episodes); Magun, as I recall , was the term for Kaze's gun, which could summon the monsters when the proper colored chemical Soil bullets were placed in it (I believe it roughly translated into Demon Gun or Summon Gun...) Makenshi was the white swordsman (White Cloud) that we see hanging out with the villians early on and who seems to have a rivalry with Kaze, and Madoushi, I believe, was the red swordsman we see later in the series who seems related to the white swordsman in some way; It's a really good series (even if it should've been longer... Mabye they'll make a 2nd season/continuation sometime...)

but I'm still confused why white cloud (shiroi Kumo) is called Makenshi while his brother Akai Kiri is called Madoushi.... Sin can only be erased by blood.... intocaccible- Noir

I'm not exactly certain myself, but Makenshi roughly translated into Magical/Dark Swordsman while Madoushi roughly translated into Magical/Dark Magician. There still seems to be a big debate over these translations, so I'm not even sure for certain... They seem used by people in the show as more of references to them by title, not their names;

i agree! it was pretty short for 26 episodes('bitin' in our languange) and i have to say, despite the things they say about it, it's a really good show (though the summoning thingies can be quite annoying cuz of its repetition, but still!) you can go buy them on DVD, they're available online (all episodes) or download them at fansubbing groups ^_^ about the sequel... from what i know they already have it released(!) but not as an anime, but,, what was that.. in a cd/book format, cant remember. it's called final fantasy unlimited: after and i think it's got up to 3. you can search for it, just to be sure ^_^

I've heard some bad things about this anime, such as the plot being dry, and the whole thing kinda being dragged on. To me though it doesn't really look all too bad.

I love this anime so much it was the first anime I watched through entirely in Japanese! <3 I want to see the continuation. BTW, the credits call Madoushi magic Taoist.

25 wonderful episodes. I want to read the epilogue manga. Hopefully it will clear up some of the questions I may have. I love all the villains!

Same here Nekorin. I want to continue also with the epilogue also. :33 Although, I didn't necessarily like all of the villains. xO Makenshi totally pwned in my book though. ;3 Favorite character in the series. ^^;
