Can anyone give me a definition for ãªã‘りゃ? It'd be pronounced nakerya... Stupid to add but it might help. Thank you for your time and hopefully your help~! I hope this is the right place to post this. Sorry if it isn't. -_- |

親もã„ãªã‘りゃä½ã‚€æ‰€ã‚‚ãªã„。 ^--- The context. Maybe I should spell it out in romanji... Lemme know if I should do that to help ya out~! And thanks for your response! |

ãªã‘りゃ is a contraction of ~ãªã‘れ㰠(~nakereba) this is the negative ~ba conditional form. You take the ~nai form of the verb, drop the "i" and add kereba. The meaning being "If I don't do something..." eg mizu wo nominakereba (if I don't drink water...) It also appears with ~i adjectives (dropping the "i" again) e.g. taka~kereba... "if it is expensive...". In the example case you gave, inakereba (inakerya) if (someone) doesn't exist. Parents in this case: (literally) "If parents don't exist, then a place to live doesn't exist, either" |
