I did,it's good anime,the first animation really wasn't all that good,I prefer 06. The head were too big in the first one,and the animation looked bad. 2006 Kanon,looks alot cleaner. The ending didn't make me cry,but I felt I would. (I've certainly toughened up over the years,I cried in that episode of pokemon,where pikachu almost left Ash...)  |

=.=` wow... Pokemon. XD Anyways. yeah, I only saw Kanon 06, also known as the Kanon "Remake" and yeah it's well made! I only seen up to 21 so far, since the last few episodes are still being subbed and stuff, but yeah, a ton of stuff happens! In episode 21, I was like "O.O", when I saw what happened to Akiko-san. I couldn't believe my eyes! T-T Well, more to come, I think there's 26 episodes overall, so yeah, five more. XD

Haha yeah,I'm embarassed about crying over Pikachu and Ash's relationship. I haven't seen the whole Kanon '06 either,I've seen up to 22. So that would be 4 more for me.I watched the whole old one,and I can see where this is going..So I'm armed with tissues if it gets sad and I need to bawl my eyes out! =) They might end Kanon 06 differently,I don't know yet.We'll just have to watch. |

I never saw Kanon 02, but I asked a few people about it, and they said it might be weird watching it after watching 06. Time travel is not that great when watching things out of place, but I heard Kanon 02 is not that great, regarding the comparison to Kanon the remake. XP

Remake:  old:  Thing is,Kanon 02,was low standard in animation in 2002.So after 4 years the remake was born. |

SC:: Yeah, in the remake, I think they had an episode or two, when Yuuichi had a flashback or something, they showed Nayuki or Ayu, not sure, as the 02 version. Aramis:: Woah, I don't remember seeing that happening in the anime? I'll watch that episode again in a few minutes. XD I think it was either my eyes, the first time I saw it, it looked like she completely disappeared. Note: Kyoto animation is uber greatness~ XP

you are right of course, this (ep21 spoiler) is what happened in the anime but i prefer the edited version...Kanon is angsty enough without that event. edit: removed or hid the tremendous spoilers in my posts, not very nice for someone who hasn't watched up to this part to stumble in this topic :P |

OMG!! So it wasn't my eyes... lol~ Woah, I would ask what happened, but I hate spoilers, especially to great anime, such as this, so yeah, no spoilers, I can wait... unfortunately. But still, in the first episode clip, roundhouse kickin' a car and sending it to a 90â—‹ angle... phewww~ XD

yea, 2006 was much better than the first one. while the old Kanon doesn't say much about the characters, since i feel it revolves too much on Yuuichi, Kanon 2006 is well, is much more in depth i guess. better animation too^^ |

Well of course the remake is better than the first one...remember the original was made in 2002. Also the original was limited to 13 episodes whereas the remake has the luxury of being longer so more of the story can be told. The reason for the different look...well the original followed the designs of the original game which was made in 1999. The remake looks & feels more like AIR...not suprisingly cause the same studio 'Kyoto Animation' is involved. I'm also glad they used the same music from the game...except in episode 16 where "Last Regrets-Xmas floor style remixed" was used...that was not in the game but featured in varous Ive Sound albums. I like both of them....the original was so very different to other animes i've seen at that time. It was one of the series that got me interested in "visual novel" games. Although i've played those games before mainly cause of the character designs but KANON was the first that was more than just visuals. The story was so tragic/emotional it introduced me to the other side of these games.All of the games made by KEY focus on the characters & story more so than visuals (which includes the sex scenes). Anyways cause of the compressed nature of the original (like Kay said) the character developement isn't as detailed as the remake. The original took the basic concept of the story as its base....the remake on the other hand is able to expand on that cause of the increased length. I'll use another example....AIR (another series based on a game by KEY). Well the movie is basically the same story as the TV series (although slightly retold)...but its not as good. Why?....the TV series was 12 episodes the movie only a hour or so. See my point? I appreciate both versions greatly....KANON has such a good story! A remake would never been done if it wasn't good right? *note* the series is only 24 episodes not 26....so only 2 more episodes to go.  |

I saw the whole Kanon 02 series...it made me cry...and surely 06 will too..Im kinda sensitive of those Animes XD But still...I like them both!  |

i've only seen until episode 22...so yea...2 more to go. when i saw the first Kanon in 2003, i was like...whoa, what's with the big heads...but i continued watching till the end. although the art work is not that appealing, i still feel that it's a touching story. then i started to compare it with Air when i saw it. my first reaction was 'Whoa, same company different art..wish Kanon had this kind of graphic and much more detailed.' and guess what, it came last year. oh yea, although it's not that related to Kanon, you can see Kanon girls in Air's second episode. here's a screenshot:  now, take a good look at Misuzu and Makoto...they look quite similar... now the only thing i'm hoping for is an episode of the events that happens 7 years ago... on the side note...here's a trivia: the op and ed for Kanon 2006 and the game was played in the last episode of Kanon 2002...i just noticed it when i was watching Kanon 2002 eps 13 O_o... |

I'm actually watching it right now to be honest. I'm waiting for the other episodes that's still be subbed. It kinda sucks seeing that it really only goes to 24 rather than 26.

@DN, that is Nayuki, Makoto and Ayu for your info. they are the girls of Kanon featured in Air 2nd episode. |

(O.o) Woah, I gotta check AIR out then. They "were" similar, because they "are" the same characters. :D I knew who they were, but since the there girls presented there were in the anime, "AIR", I thought the other direction and only thought they resembled in looks. XP *sigh* Makoto... T-T
