popular anime Japan?

I am trying to buy some anime in DVD but I can't find any good animes... I don't like these: 1. Excel Saga 2. Wolf Rein 3. Dragon Ball Series 4. I hate all the stupid kid animes like Yugioh and Poket Monsters 5. stupid metabot stuffs I like these: 1. Great Teacher Onizuka 2. Midori No Hibi 3. Vandread 4. Maburaho 5. Mahou Sensei Negima 6. Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushi Sekai (This ugly and beautiful world) 7. Naruto In Newtype magazine, they posted these anime as popular animes: 1. One Piece 2. Inuyasha 3. Gundam Seed unfortunately I don't remember 7 other popular animes but those above are one of them... The thing about them is that I hate those animes!!! I saw couple of animes but they really sucks my ass hole. I couldn't find things like: 1. Complete box set of Chrono Cross 2. Complete box set of Mahou Sensei Negima .... Seems like that I only buy complete box set stuffs so I will exclude saying "complete box set of..." 3. DearS 4. Bleach 5. Xenosaga If you guys know where I can find these anime in complete box sets or give me an recomendation, I would really preciate it

Go to animesuki.com Here you should be able to download the Bleach series and some other imports not aviable and still being released in Japan on TV. They update the newly veiwed erpisode a few hours after realease in Japan. It comes with subtitles os don't worry. Or the other option is Ebay. You can get just about any import here if you know where to look.

I recon you should look into Full Metal Alchemist. Why? I just love plugging the show. It rocks my socks! Perfect blend of drama, humour and action with a kick arse plot and fabulous character development!

Well, thank you for your opinions and I found out that some of your information was very infomative! Anyhow, unfortunatly I already have Full Metal Alchemist! Full import box sets so, that's out the list! But! I am still waiting for more recommendations for buying animes and also looking through sites so i can increase some collections... right now I have list of 1. Angelic Layer 2. Bubblegum Crisis 2040 AD 3. Green Green 4. Last Exile 5. Najica Blitz 6. Ai Yori Aoshi 7. Ninja Scroll 8. Zone of Enders These animes was able to find and I soon will be buying them... Thanks to ParaparaJMo-san, I was able to find chrono Cross box set! DOMO ARIGATO!!! New update on Japanese popular animes... 1. KareKano 2. Bleach 3. Ninja Scroll 4. My Hime 5. Naruto... These are almost accurate but you know the survey never are actually accurate... I dled some of episodes of animes that I have listed before and I liked it, so I wanted to buy it. When I buy animes, I always dl some episodes and if I like them, I buy them... I don't like to rip the anime companies off. I worked for publishers before and they hardly make money! One more thing, I am pretty sure that you can buy animes that are released! According to dear Andrew-san, he or she said "How do you expect to find them when THEY'RE NOT EVEN RELEASED." That's so not true! they ARE releaed! Might not be on the DVD but they are on the net and they are currently airing! so they ARE released... Also, even though the anime episodes are still airing, it can be bought! like Naruto, its still airing in Japan but I was able to buy import box set containing about 117 episodes (?) may be...

Kare Kano isn't all that new... Bleach on the other hand is still airing in Japan, so you probably have to wait a while before you'll find a boxset. Angelic Layer, to my knowledge, has an American released boxset/DVDs as with Bubblegum Crisis. I know of a series called AIR that's supposed to be quite popular at the moment and there is apparently an anime-version of Powerpuff Girls that has recently been aired, but that's about all that hasn't been mentioned.  |

Meine Liebe Wow, doesn't it seems like Gundam is ruling the Japan's popularities? Also Neon Genesis Evangelion series never dies off! I actually started watching anime after watching Evangelion. I also watched Full Metal Alchemists and I heard that they are booming in Japan! I can see there are many animes that I haven't even heard of and they are in top 20 list so I am going to check them out.

Isn't Naruto a very popular anime in Japan right now? Can't see it on the newtype mag list. (O_O) I salute Neon Genesis Evangelion! Definitely my favorite anime! XD ======================================================== |

They say Naruto is popular in Japan, but how should I know? I'm not Japanese. Anyway, it's a shame that your lists don't include Saiyuki. = (
