I also think yaoi is more dominant. Or at least it's fans are louder.

I like yuri better, myself. Actually, I find true yaoi disgusting, but I'm a huge shounen-ai and shoujo-ai fan. ^^;

I myself love Yaoi! I am not a Yuir fan but, some of the srtwork is really pretty. I just love gay men...I don't why I just do odd as that sounds. I think among most people Yaoi is more dominat then Yuri just becuaseanime seems to be a big portion of women watching it. I am not being bias for I undrstand men watch as well and there are women who like Yuri. I personally through my school and freinds see Yaoi as more dominat... For Hitichi-chan...I would have to be the opposite of you. Sorry, I think Yuri is disgusting but I am a big Shonen-ai and Ahoujo-ai fan myself. to each his own I guess... Thank you! ~NightFallWolf

Fanboys prefer yuri~~ and rabid fangirls like myself prefer yaoi~! Maybe because I haven't seen a Yuri manga/ doujinshi that has good story. Yaoi RULES!!!!!!

Yaoi. More fun to make fics with this topic. Yuri's okay, but less common compared to yaoi.

definitely yaoi because there is more excitement than yuri fic. there's a spark in the story, you get me? i mean, yaoi pairings are much more NOT accepted to this world so definitely a no-no to yuri and two thumbs up for YAOI! weee~~

I have to say the most prevalent type of fanfiction is that of yaoi... but then again, I'm simply referring to fanfiction.net and their rabid assortment of spoony fangirls; though not saying that I'm not a fan of yaoi and yuri. I believe that yaoi is more common simply because if you look around most fanfiction writers are generally speaking female... But then again, I'm making some very big generalizations based on gender. -shrugs- I personally like both, but I need a plot more than sex ^_^;;;; Give me plot or give me death! A little smut on the side doesn't hurt either though....
We cross our bridges when come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to show for our progress except a memory of the smell of smoke, and a persumption that once our eyes watered.

Yaoi is definitely more popular among fanfiction. Perhaps because girls have more of a desire to write compared to the boys. I am by no means saying that ALL girls like Yaoi and ALL boys like Yuri. Personally, I like Yuri better, but Yaoi has its moments. I find that there are alot of shoujo-ai anime series coming out no? (Yami no Boushi to Hon no Tabibito, Kannazuki no Miko, Maria-sama ga Miteru)  |

I would say Yaoi. Cos I have yet come across a yuri shipping that I like. Yep. I guess Yaoi fans are kinda more um... obvious [for a lack of better word to use]. Actually, I started with yuri [just random pairings here and there], before my yaoi-fan fren influenced my to try yaoi. yar... For some reason, I'm just starting to find the concept of two girls together rather 'evil' now.... er... Hope I didn't offend anyone with that comment... -hides-

I'm probably the only one here that personally thinks that both are really sick. I'm not disagreeing with anyone but I'm more of a stick to the 'man to woman' or 'woman to man' thing. |

I definitly am a yaoi fan, but that doesnt mean i still dont like straight romance, heck im a yaoi freak though ^^; I havent really read a yuri fic or anything but im a girl and i have seen a few cases of yuri anime and im not that much into it.Yaoi rules for me!!!!

I like shonen-ai and yaoi personally. Shoujo-ai is alright,I like Maria-sama ga Miteru and Yami no Boushi to Hon no Tabibito. I'm a pretty open person relationships in anime could be anything and it wouldn't likely bother me.  |
