Need Help!!

Okay, I was at my computer when, BAM all of a sudden the Taskbar went all screwy. If i minimize something, it won't show up. However, my Norton is still there and so is my start menu, etc etc. What did i do? Has this ever happened to someone else? I think I may have messed with the setting up of the icons at the bottom, but even though I messed with them again, it won't show up -_- I am getting really upset. My dad couldn't fix it either. I restarted the computer and still no luck. Please please help meeeeeee!!!

if you can get still get to your start menu then try a system restore or you cant get to that? start menu>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore that might not be accurate but its close

Thanks Ray. I asked my bro if that would help but he said that it can't :( I think I might make a new profile and then it'll be okay. I started but its tough starting from scratch :( well thanks though.

That has happened to me before...but I don't know how to fix it Usually if I wait awhile it shows up again... |

Try minimizing it again, and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, see if the program you opened/minimized is there at the list. If it's there, it might have a chance to be fixed again.  |

I have faith, thanks Suzaku. Its been like this for about 3 days now :( At Imppy, it shows up in the Task Manager, but it doesn't allow me to see my minimized icons at the bottom. I'll show you a pic. Right now I have 2 MSN convos going, my photobucket account up, gendous and windows media player. Yet, nothing is showing on my TaskBar. Check it out. Yeah its pretty gay alright.

wow...what in the...let's try this: 1)Right Click 'My Computer>Properties' 2)Go to the 'Advanced' tab 3)Under 'Performance' click on the 'Settings' button 3)At the 'Visual Effects' tab, select the 'Adjust for best performance' radio button 4)Click 'Ok'(your taskbar will change into something like a win98) and restart the PC. once your PC restarted, try launching a software and see if the taskbar's ok or not |

Or you could give this a shot. Taskbar Repair Tool Download that and give it a shot, it should fix the problem. P.S: I had this problem on my old Win98 computer one time. I think I used the same program, if not it was one just like this one.    |
