too many shady deals
|
i sometimes do peoples homework if they pay me a reasonable amount. I'll let people wear my jewelery or jackets for money too. I'll do almost anything for money to buy manga. is being fearless in the face of money weird? I guess i'm a lot like the Bebop crew in that sense... your opinions? |

Well it's your friends who are paying you to do their stuff. I wouldn't call it weird, though they must have a lot of money to offer. ------- |

I wouldn't use such an endearing term as "Fearless in the face of money". It's more like your willing to sell yourself out for a little cash. Not really a noble quality but whether it's right or not is something only you can decide on. You've got an itching palm. I would really like to make a comparison here but I don't want to offend. |

@deal, in a way, we're pretty similar. although i do lend my stuff out, i simply expect them to be returned in its proper condition. if it's damaged in anyway, they'll have to get me a new one, especially if it a Tokyopop manga. those costs $20 in Singapore. although i wouldn't make my friends pay just to lend my stuff |

woah you do people's homework for money? So eBil...I like it. I shall let you join my forces of ruling the world C:< You get free cookies! I would do anything to acquire something I want too Although I never do people's homework. I let THEM do my homework XD I do small business though by doing commissions. Like, I do artworks for them, they pay me depending on how my efforts put into it. |

HAHA, that's so funny! I did my friends' homework out of the goodness of my heart, but now I'm thinking I should have charged them too. >.< I never really had a need for money. If there was something I wanted, my parents bought it for me of course as long as I did well in school. So I guess I don't have to make shady deals with people. |

If I were you, I wouldn't do that. Spending your time and effort on someone else's homework just so you can have money isn't right (and unfair...). Just as what Jonathon said, it's a little like selling yourself. Surely there's other ways for you to earn money other than doing someone else's homework... |
Re: too many shady deals

Well, in doing your peoples' homework, your hurting them because they're learning they can get almost anything with money and are losing education. If they are your friends, you have decide if you'd rather have the well being of a friend who can be responsible and live in the real world or money to buy manga. By doing their homework, you're just training them to depend on other people. That's just what I think though. -.-' |

they are right...it's like selling yourself pal...first it will be petty stuff like doing someone's homework or lending them stuff for a fee but if this continue next thing you know your selling your soul to the devil for a million bucks!hahahaha (its a joke pal! no ill intentions watsoever!XD) |
Re: too many shady deals

Start by doing something else like, selling lemonade. lol cartoons XD seriously, try to um, put your talent into good use C: if you're good at drawing do commissions! Sell your art... and stuff |
Re: too many shady deals

Wel, i can't say you're doing a good thing... But it's logical though. If i think i can do something without that much effort and people are willing to pay me for it, why not? Doing someone's homework might not be good for him/her, so if you're trying to be nice, you can try to convince them to do it themselves. The problem is some people tend to not care about what we say as long as their HW is done... So trying to convince them is a waste, don't you think? Best way to stop selling your self? Either you ignore those guys or be smart (by smart i mean evil) and ask them for an unreasonable amount of money! (like me) That way people will refuse and stop paying for your help OR if they happen to not care about the money, you'll get a lot of money for doing small things! It's like you're extorting money from them, but they don't care. Welcome to the world of sin, buddy! >:D |

Take alms? (nah, just kidding...) Since you're earning allowance from your parents (you do, right?), save some of it. Then, when you think you have saved enough, use that as capital for a franchising business. You're not only gaining back your capital that way, you're also earning money by yourself. And you also learn how to be a businessman (or woman...)!

if you want to make money, get a real job. >.>; screw your preppy manga/anime haters. their minds are too simple to understand this kind of hobby. i have the same type of issue, but it's not even an "issue". it's very easy to ignore 'em, but i doubt they say anything unless i saw it first or if they see something i do like for some presentation and whatnot. ------- |
