This should be in the "help" category. About your problem, if it "died", I guess it... "died", right? Does it still turn on? If not... yeah, I think it's dead.

Spilling liquid will usually kill the computer for good. You may still be able to save the hard disk, and any other part that doesn't have liquid on or in it. You'd have to bring it to a shop to get a good idea of what you could salvage.    |

looks like it died alright...spilling liquids on the notebook can be an owner's worst fear. the hard disk have a high chance of surviving but i doubt the rest will work. the RAM and Processor could be salvaged but the chances are less than 40% |

liquids and electronics bahd....depending on what happened, its possible to salvage a lot, especialy if it wasnt running if you spilt soup on it and it was on and then it stopped working your probably sol  |

OMG.....you spilled soup ?! on your power book ?!... Well, i own a notebook and i know what kind of trouble it is....well... Try to bring it to reparation shop and see what they can do...   |

It should be alright if you let it dry out. I know people who wash their phones and electronics and its okay as long as you DO NOT turn it on while still wet. That'll fry it. If you've turned it on then I don't think it'll work. Just let it dry out, don't touch it for three or so days until it is definetly dried out. goodluck bud :)

Gah! That sucks! But don't throw it on just yet, or turn it on. Like Schala said, let it dry out for a couple of days. I know a kid who was playing Game Boy on the toilet, and dropped it in >< He fished it out, and all of his games (which fell in too) , let them dry out, and they worked again. XD This might not be the case with your computer though. I say take it in and have somebody take a look at it. Good luck!  |

I agree with Schala, but I would wash it first, cause I don't think that won-ton pieces are good for the powerbook. But be sure to remove any electric power sources before washing it.^^   |

I'm sorry to hear that but hey least you got something better now!! Those macbook pros are so much faster! How are you liking it? I want one so bad... but money is always an issue with me heh. Curious but did you buy a new or refurbished unit? And how much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking. |

Maybe you should've waited longer. Apple is going to hopefully update the macbook pro in the next 2 weeks. :X

If you spilled soup on it while it's off, you've got a 50:50 chance it'll work fine again (after a few repairs of course...). If you spilled soup on it while it's turned on, you're in BIG trouble, pal... BTW, congrats on having a new powerbook! ;)
