You should wait until it's low on battery. Who knows when you've just defeated an almost impossible boss to beat and got tons of money, then...POOF! All your hard work down the drain... -_-  |

To save power, simple things such as using a lower back-lit setting or using headphones/earphones can help. Also, playing games and watching movies (PSP) take quite a bit of the system to run, requiring more power. Not saying you should watch/play, but being careful about playing to long. If you don't want to worry, just plug it in. ; )

"then...POOF! All your hard work down the drain... -_-" Not really, there is a feature that let's you pick up where you left off in a game you were playing in case of dead battery. I've had it happen a few times and when I got home I plugged it in, turned it on and made a quick save. Like ToD said, use lower power settings. The brightest settings should only be used when you can't see otherwise (if your playing in a dark place then lowest brightness works fine. Headphones cut down on power since the speakers aren't being used. Turn the WLAN power save on, use memory stick games/music/movies whenever possible, and so on and so forth. Finally, you should wait until the battery is almost drained to charge again (unless you need it full for a trip or something) because the more rechargeable batteries are recharged the quicker they die out for good.    |

I heard after the first year and half you use a DS itll only charge to 75% power and if it wont charge at all you gotta get a new battery pack. for Sony the battery tends to run out fast if you play on brightest light, loudest volume, and how long you play a game so i recommend you buy like 2 more battery packs and carry them with you when your low on power.  |
