Enix made Terranigma, the sequel to Illusion of Gaia/Time. It's my favourite game in that series and I think it was only available in pal.. |
Re: Classic Enix

Terranigma was also released in Japan as Tenchi Souzou |

bbob is correct. After the financial failure of 'FF: the spirits within' Sqaure was forced to find a partner to cover for the lost. Enix legally absorbed Square controlling most of the shares. However despite this the majority of the head officials appointed were from Square. So far it has worked out well for both parties with a mix of good & bad from the public. Personally the old Square under the head of Hironbu Sakaguchi-san (before the attempt at the film business) was the best at what it does. Making excellent RPGs that had both style & substance. Squenix to me not in the same league. So far the best games coming from Squenix are the ones from the Enix franchise. Dragon Quest, VP:Silmeria, Radiata Stories have been far better games than duds like SaGa, Mana, FF:X2. I've always liked Enix's style they incorporate into their games. The wide open often hectic battle systems they usually use in all their games. SO & VP in particular keep you on your toes & command timing & precision. Like i said in a previous thread....now i rather buy an Enix made game before i do a Square made game. |

Love classic Enix. Soul Blazer trilogy was the best.

Ever Since they unite with Squaresoft, they don't make games like these anymore.
