Hmm... It seems that almost everyone watched Tsubasa, Card Captor, Chobits and Holic. Few watched X and Tokyo Babylon. But here's the question - anyone watched Magic Knights Rayearth and Miyuki-chan in wonderland? Here's the second question - if someone watched amv - Clamp in Wonderland - does someone know who were those people, who was raiding a castle in there? :) |
Re: Clamp

Well I've seen Rayearth, but not Miyuki-chan. I've read the manga of it though. I think more people should check these out even though they're not as mainstream cause I'd have to say it's equally good. |

Well... I had a hard time finding Miyuki myself... found it on youtube... Let's say... if in every other anime Clamp was trying to make something... pure... then Miyuki'd be counterweight for it :) But it's amusing :) And as for MKR... I personally like it more than any other Clamp anime... Since it has Mokona, the original one, not Tsubasa and Holic's ones... and it has Hikaru, my favorite character :) Although i'd say that MKR ova sucks greatly... Tv's WAY better :) |

Well... Miyuki-chan's good alright :) Although Queen is kinda too ecchi :D Well... i'd recommend it for anyone, who likes Alice in Wonderland :) Yeah... in Mirrorland, playing chess was amusing :D Never read manga, but watched both Wonder and mirror lands :) Wanna read manga about Video Game Land and X Land :) As for Magic Knights... well... it's plot is interesting, as well as there are good battles and good characters... Also that's MUST watch for any Mokona fan. Since there, the original one appears :D Well... at the beginning the plot is really simple knight story - heroes must gather rune gods and save the princess -> save the world. But at the last two episodes the plot appears to be LOT more complicated... maybe kinda sad... Something similar happened in the Knight scenario of Live-a-Live... from the beginning it's your ordinary knight's story... but at the end... :D |

this is the information i gathered about CLAMP CLAMP has authored other dÅjinshi that are not listed above. Having started as a dÅjinshi group, most of CLAMP's dÅjinshi are from their earlier years. A number of CLAMP's earlier works are also not listed above. Former CLAMP members Tamayo Akiyama (秋山 ãŸã¾ã‚ˆ Akiyama Tamayo?) Birth : November 28, 1966 in ÅŒsaka Blood Type : B Left in : October 1992 Akiyama was responsible for the script and illustrations in Derayd, a manga based on an original idea by Ohkawa. Then, she started Cluster (original idea, script and art) with the studio and continued to work on it after leaving CLAMP in 1992. She worked on 20 MensÅ ni Onegai!! and RG Veda with the other artists of the studio. After leaving the group, Akiyama published Hyper Rune, Mouryou Kiden, Secret Chaser, Zyword and Shade. Leeza Sei Leeza Sei (è–ã‚Šã„ã– Sei Riiza?) Birth : April 28, 1967 in ÅŒsaka Blood Type : B Left in : October 1992 Sei was an assistant artist on RG Veda. She was also in charge of story and illustrations of Combination, a manga based on an original idea of Ohkawa. When Sei left CLAMP, she continued this series under her "Clamp name", finishing it in 6 volumes. After leaving the group, she changed her name to Iba Takeo and published her manga (Gilgrim in 2 volumes, Phantom Cognition in 10 volumes and Tasogare no Rakuen 7 volumes and still running) in the Princess Gold magazine. She is still doing some dÅjinshi with Nanao Sei, another ex-Clamp member, under the L.S.N. name (Leeza Sei Nanao). Sei Nanao 七穂ã›ã„ (Nanao Sei?) Birth : October 29, 1967 in ÅŒsaka Blood Type : O Left in : June 1990 (No mention of her in the credits after that date except for the ShÅten 6). Still does doujinshi with fellow former CLAMP member Leeza Sei under the name "L.S.N." (Leeza Sei Nanao). Hishika SÅshi Hishika SÅshi (日鷺ç·å¸ Hishika SÅshi?) Birth : ? Blood Type : ? Left in : December 1988 (No mention of her in the credits after that date). Nakamori Kazue ä¸æ£®ã‹ãšãˆ (Nakamori Kazue?) Birth : ? Blood Type : ? Left in : February 1989 (No mention of her in the credits after that date). Current CLAMP members Ageha Ohkawa 大å·ç·‹èŠ (ÅŒkawa Ageha?), formerly Nanase Ohkawa (大å·ä¸ƒç€¬ ÅŒkawa Nanase?) Birth : May 2, 1967 in ÅŒsaka Blood Type: A Ohkawa is the leader of the group and the script writer. She negotiates with their editors and sometime writes the screenplay of the animated version of their manga. Mokona ã‚‚ã“㪠(Mokona?), formerly Mokona Apapa (ã‚‚ã“ãªã‚ã±ã± Mokona Apapa?) Birth : June 16, 1968 in KyÅto Blood Type: A Mokona is the main artist of most stories and was also several times in charge of design. Her art style is the trademark of the studio. She is the namesake of the character Mokona, who appears first in Magic Knight Rayearth and later in Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and ×××HOLiC. Tsubaki Nekoi 猫井 椿 (Nekoi Tsubaki?), formerly Mick Nekoi (猫井ã¿ã£ã Nekoi Mikku?) Birth : January 21, 1969 in KyÅto Blood Type: O Nekoi is mostly Mokona's assistant but she is also the main artist for some series (Watashi no Suki na Hito, Wish, Suki. Dakara Suki, GÅhÅ Drug). She is in charge of drawing Super Deformed (SD) characters and mascots and is doing the character design in turn with Mokona. Satsuki Igarashi ã„ãŒã‚‰ã—寒月 (Igarashi Satsuki?), formerly Satsuki Igarashi (五ååµã•ã¤ã Igarashi Satsuki?) Birth : February 8, 1969 in KyÅto Blood Type: A Satsuki is assisting Mokona and Nekoi in their works and is also in charge of the design of the tankÅbon. She has a monthly column in Kadokawa Newtype Magazine. These names are recent: In 2004, as part of CLAMP's 15th Anniversary, CLAMP's members changed their names from Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona Apapa, Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi (pronounced the same, but written with different characters), respectively. The August 2004 issue of Newtype USA, a magazine specializing in events of the anime and manga subcultures, reported that the members of CLAMP simply wanted to try out new names. A later interview with Ohkawa revealed that initially Mokona wanted to drop her surname because it sounded too immature for her liking, while Nekoi disliked people commenting that her name was the same as Mick Jagger's. Ohkawa and Igarashi, wanting to go with the flow of Nekoi and Mokona's name changes, changed their names as well. CLAMP is an all-female Japanese mangaka group. Their manga series are often made into anime after release. More than 90 million CLAMP tankoubon copies have been sold worldwide. CLAMP originally began in 1989 as a twelve-member doujinshi circle. The former members of CLAMP included Tamayo Akiyama, Soushi Hishika, O-Kyon, Kazue Nakamori, Inoue Yuzuru, Sei Nanao, Shinya Ohmi and Leeza Sei. By 1990, the circle had diminished from twelve to seven. Of the remaining seven, Tamayo Akiyama, Sei Nanao, and Leeza Sei left the group over the course of RG Veda's production, leaving the current four members. According to CLAMP, the group's name means "a pile of potatoes". @Ryuho: Well... i'm not even sure if there'll be one... it seems that there should be... but maybe they abandoned it :) @Rina: Well... it's funny... although i wouldn't call it good... it's more like a short joke-anime :) As for me - i watched MKR twice so far - about 2 years ago and half a year ago... well... half a year ago i only watched first season. I'll need to download second again :) And yeah, before watching it i played snes game on it... so i knew most of what'll happen in first season :D Although in snes game they spared Precia :D |
Re: Clamp

X is great! I did a marathon of it a month ago, before the start of classes. The story is good and i especially liked kamui's character development. The clash between the seven seals and the seven angels was exciting though many of my favorite characters died throughout the story. :(( haven't watch Miyuki-chan in wonderland yet but i already saw MKR on local TV. It was good but i can't really remember the series that much. |

When I was younger, I loved Cardcaptor Sakura when it was on TV. I used to watch it every Saturday. I had the Clow book w/ the cards and some of the dolls. A few years later, my obsession with CCS started to die down. From that point on, i only appreciated the beauty of CLAMP's art, not get into anymore manga by them. That was until a few weeks ago, when I read the first chapter of my friend's xxxHOLIC manga. I couldn't stop thinking about it after that day. When I get more money, I'm going to by the 3-volumes-in-one set of the manga. I want to read more of it! |
Re: Clamp

My fave manga of clamp is Tsubasa Chronicle. I really like the story. Its fantastic.^^ But i have never watch Miyuki-chan in wonderland or Rayearth T___T. @Ryhuo there will be no third season of Tsubasa Chronicle because Clamp was not satisfied with the animation or something like that. But there will be a three-part OVA which will released in 2007 and 2008. |
