This game is one of the best I have ever seen. I just bought it and the grapics are so cool! Has anyone else played Odin Sphere?

| It's pretty fun, nice story but the slow downs on some parts are pretty bad (you'll notice it on the final boss fight) |

Finished the game last month....i was pleasantly suprised on how much fun i had with this game. Let me start by saying this is one of the prettiest games i've seen....visually stunning & detailed for a 2D game. Every character has so rich detail & animation...the backgrounds give out so much vibrance. The gameplay is a treat as well. The concept of growing & making your own items was interesting...this has to be the first game that you can grow sheep on a tree! Everything takes place on a 2D battlefield & the learning curve for this game is pretty high to moderate. It's not as easy as it looks. To put it bluntly it's your typical hack & slash. The best aspect in my view is the story & that all 5 playable character's stories are intertwined with each other. You start of with one character & after you finish his/her scenario, another one opens. After you finish all of the scenarios an extra one opens. To get the good ending you have to use the correct character for each level....some of them can get quite emotional. The voice over is also very good although you have the opportunity to hear the original japanese. Favorite character has to be Mercedes the fairy queen....although don't want to spoil it for everybody...her ending isn't very good! T_T!!! The only slow down comes when you battle Odette the Queen of Hel. There is so much on the screen at times that everything goes slow mo. I must say though the animation of Odette & her minions are a sight to behold. This was the only time in my experience that this happens the rest of the game is ok. The only downside that this is such a niche game that casual gamers may miss it....it'll end up being a cult classic. *side note* Same company that made the other game i'm playing currently "GrimGrimoire"...a 2D RTS game. Yes that's right....its an RTS game. Same great visuals & charm. Although the controls takes a while to get use to.  |

I have and I feel in love in with it! Oswald was my favorite character to play with can't believe he's Corneilus' cousin..

I have the game aswell but i'm not that proud about it, i played it about 18h. before i decided to stop playing it. I just don't like playing 2D games, this sounds like i'm spoiled but i'm not. But it's a RPG game i just can't miss in my collection :)  |

I played this game and I really wanted to enjoy it... But the way the gameplay kind of lags turned me off |

lol i played this game but stopped after all the new ones came XD but yeah, the graphics are really nice. @Haoie yeah, maybe like Metal Slug XD    |

I finished Valkyrie story. A bit too classic storylines and unconvinient fighting style. However, it was rather fun. The only parts i hated are locations that needed potions to be normally in, like lava or snow. |
