Im starved for intelligent conversations.
|
Its been a while since i've had any intelligent conversations. IT may be because im a naturally lazy person. I dont really start too many conversations. But i've decided to get off the couch and get in front of my coputer screen in the search for knowledge. Unfortunately I decided to do this on the day I have a splitting headache. So if anyone has anything worthwhile that they would like to talk about be sure to reply to this post. |

Terrorism is a more tricky subject than todays society is giving thought to it. Now I say now and once that attacking and killing innocent citzens of a country are completely wrong.. BUT, remember the Sons of Liberty, remember the French revolution, and all the others that followed that freed most of the world from the three world empires from 16-19th centuries. These were all started by small groups of men who fought agaisnt amries using terror tactics.. terrorism is nothing new. The United States was born of terrorists, there will always be an underdog fight for thier beliefs. And there are much much much more causes of suffering and hate it is natural for human society, though you can always lower the amount.

The Sons of Liberty were a radical group of artisans and shopkeeps that started as a retailation of the stamp act.. starting in Boston with the hangings of government officals they spread into every colony inflicting terror in to the royal government and spreading ideals of freedom to America.. Quite a few years later these "terrorists" and by that I mean using acts of terror to demoralate the enemy in hopes of weaking thier resolve, often used by the desperate, outnumbered, and outgunned. Today a group of similar indiviuals are fighting for religous fanaticism but overall using the same tatics. If fanatical islam took over the world, todays terrorists will not be called just that... Only the winners write history. I quess I didnt make it clear that I am a pasifist and do not condone voilence in anyway or form, but I wouldnt close my mind to affects in our society and debate its sometimes usefulness to free people from oppression, that would be un-intelligent

jeese, so much for intelligent conversation... I think terrorism is another mescom's scandal! They are all made up situation! Its true, that there are some sick psychos', those dreaming about unreasonable terrorism, but if you actually think through what has been going on, there is no actual terrorism! They said Iraq attacked America, but lets think about what was going on before Iraq attacked us... Remember in election of president Bush? Well there was many scandal with Bush rigging the votes and also there was plenty of other scandal behind the Bush's name! Now let's think about this... you know president Bush is Republican right? Now if you think about terrorism, which party would gain advantage? Republic! Now if you also think about it. After having search for weapon of mass destruction, result was null! Zero! well, let's also take a look at the bombing situation that took place soon after 9-11 incident. Now, why did America aimed at Baghdad, if we were in search of terrorism and also search of weapon of mass destruction? The answer is oil! Even though we are in hold of oil now, the gas price is still outrageous! come on guys. If you guys ARE holding an inteligent conversation, let's cover some actual problematic topics here.

wow...just wow.. I never thought of it that way.. I guess the world trade bombing in 1994, Timothy McVeigh, Contras in Nicaragua, countless embassy bombings, the theather in russia that was held hostage a few years ago, the train bombing in Spain.. all of that never happened.. its all a conspricacy from the Republicans... my bad, I guess my friend died of republican hands too.. oh wait there arnt any in Afganistan.. my bad. Terrorism is a war tactic, and its old. I was hoping to start a discussion analysing it's history and its affects to get a better understanding of it than most Americans who use the term so broadly to emcompass any enemy or anyone who thinks differently. Oh and we went to Iraq officaly for WMDs not terrorists, those who think we did.. well... I dont like to say mean things Also.. gas price is still reasonable..there was once a time when you could only get gas on certain days and had to wait in line and get a certain amount of gas, To put this painly, gas is around 2.25 around here, while a gallon of WATER can cost well over that price.

You obvisously never have been in the military, combat, or anytype of brothership. NO one throws peoples lives away for just money, those types of people dont have control over our armies. War tactic has existed before the days of conservative and liberal, it is a way to win a battle. The tactics that we employied for Iraqi Freedom was one of the reasons why its still one of the lowest American casualities for a conflict let alone a war. Plus war never, ever, ever pays, it will suck money and lives away from all sides, No manner of spoils can make it profitable. and 2.50 for gas, boohoo, we are currently going through a inflation of everything, you get paid more, you spend more, it all works out. When we have to ration gas, or becomes close, thats when I will consider it a worthwhile issue to worry about

Re: Im starved for intelligent conversations.

I already have a lot of things to worry about. Such as college tuition, car insurance, and buying anime... I mean it used to cost $1.89 per gallon, and now its like $2.50! You can't say its really cheap either! Plus! you are talking ancient here, there is no way we are going to ration our gas! we are holding Iraq here. Oh, and military has nothing to do with being conservative ass wipers. There are many Libertarian Democrats in military. Also I wasn't even talking about military people. I am talking about the congress which controls over military plans!

Read more closely, I have never said that our millitary is conservative or liberal, or that I was conservative. The people who control our millitary are Bush and the Joint chiefs of staff and Donaly Rumsfeld, all these people serverd in the millitary and they understand the importance of the life. Congress actually passed a bill a month or two allowing for the President to wage war without congressional apporval. I have 4,000 in debt, another year of college to pay for, rent, insurance, dental, health, ulitites I have 14 credits, work two jobs with arounf 42 hours a week and between that I drive around 600 miles a week.. with a car thats gets 20mpg and I have been doing this for over a year and my gas expenses are actually one of the one things that doesnt hurt me financially. We dont have Iraq, we dont have thier oil, true from the war they will be producing alot more oil on to the market.. but the price might not come down.. its all about opec. AND America only gets 8% of oil from the middle east..but its a global economy, other countries that rely on more middle east oil are hurting much much more. I will not post here anymore.

Re: Im starved for intelligent conversations.

Oh, ok well I do understand that you've never said anything about brotherhood is conservative or liberal... But you do know that the value of life has been driven through the pointless war. President Bush has been always enacted to the negative side of consquences in racial effectives along with his father, the formal ex-president Bush. Even though congress did passed a bill allowing for the president to wage war w/o congressional approval, it wouldn't really help us if congress is the one actually influencing the president to make the decision, will it? In the whole nation, congress it the worst people to trust in government. Do you know why? Its because they are the most influential party of all kind. All they DO is lies for their own benefits! Plus, the act concerning about our protection... Are you talking about PATRIOT ACT? If you actually read the description to PATRIOT ACT, all it does is invading other's privacy! That ACT is to pick out the possible terrorism but while its doing so, its invading the innocent citizens' privacy. I wouldn't really care because I don't have anything against them that would cause government to observe over my housing, but there is a privacy issues that needs to be over looked. Plus I still think oil price is outrageous! I do understand that other countries are suffering also but I want to be a brat and talk about the damn gas price again. Now... over period of one month, the gas price went from $2.09 to $2.50... There was many changes before the price became $2.50 but I am struggling to pay $30 every other day! I really can't tell how far I drive but I am pretty sure I drive more then 600 miles a week. If America gets only 8% of oil from the middle east then, don't you think it would be reasonable to lower the gas price as we are holding Baghdad? If we don't have Baghdad, then why are we still there and fighting with people who refuses to make government which we Americans are forcing them to make? To me it just looks like America is trying to colonize in Iraq for oil purpose. Oh yeah, sounds like EricsoLazy-san you know a lot about government. I accept that... You are an intelligent person, so I ask you something that bothered me for long time. Why did the military was sent to Iraq in the first place? Its because of searching in Weapon of Mass Destruction right? Then why weren't we able to find that weapon? Its very suspicious.
