O_O Wow. you guys have a lot of money to buy the anime xDDD One of the reasons why I don't have a lot is because I get most of my anime from the library...:P SO there isn't any point in buying it |

@ Suzaku-san: Yeah, anime does pretty much cost a lot. Here's how it roughly costs me to collect series: Single DVDs' Price Ranges from 20-25 USD Starter Sets that usually have a box to hold the series in, the first volume, and sometimes extra stuff usually costs 30-60 USD 25-26 episode series would cost roughly 140-50 USD since they're usually released in 6 dvds. (like Rozen Maiden or Shakugan no Shana) 12-14 episode series usually cost around 100 USD since their usually released in 3-4 dvds (Like the Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya) However, companies out here have been releaseing soem box sets. Which usually have the entire series with maybe 30-40 USD shaved off in comparison to buying them all at once. Plus, they come with a box to hold them in! (though, I've seen ADV films cut off the "Extras" that the dvds had in several of their box sets) I've only bought erm, 6 series buying DVD by DVD, usually costs a bit, but all that matters to my kaa-san is that I get good grades, and she'll buy them for me. (Hai. I'm spoiled... ^^') I use the libary too, but it's just that kids who rent the dvds out sometimes return them in pretty bad condition. (my tip is to make sure to watch the new ones that the libary brings in first before they get battered by other people.) Anime collectings is sort of a hobby for me now, plus, I want to support the industry too. ^-^ |
