A foreigner's view on Japan.
|
Hello there people on Gendou. I do not know whether this has been posted before or not. If it has, please bear with me. Recently, I learned about a website called "" Since I've been quite interested in Japan, I found it rather intriguing to read about how a foreigner (in this case an afro-American male) sees and experiences Japan. The person who calls himself Azreal (I believe he's called Jeff in real life) on the board as well as site, is like many in here a "Japanophile" or at least very interested in Japan and its culture modern as well as old. I would therefore encourage you to read his entries. Jeff/Azreal began as an English teacher in Japan through a program called JET (You can read a lot more regarding that, on the site itself) and is currently working at an online store, selling goods from Japan to other countries. His entries include stories about some peculiar students and the general mentality seen from a foreigner's point of view. Not to mention some downright humorous stories, 100 per cent true. Please notice that this isn't some sort of advertising for the site. I simply wanted to share some (in my opinion) funny stories. The website once again is: Look in the "Archive" section, where the stories are arranged chronologically. |

That's very odd. I've written it two times, but somehow they've been deleted. I'll try once again: http://www.gaijinsmash.net/ If it still isn't displaying, then I guess I've linked something illegal. Even though I strongly doubt that. |
