What happened to AnimeLyrics.Tv?

I am trying to look up lyrics and I typed in animelyrics.tv and it sends me to animelyrics.com (for those who know - DEFINITELY not the same thing). I tried typing in http://www.animelyrics.tv and it still sends me to animelyrics.com. ...THEN I went to the news post on Gendou.com and CLICKED on the link from them to AnimeLyrics.TV and it STILL sent me to animelyrics.com! Please tell me what has happened to my trusted source for anime lyrics!!!! (Help, Help, Help...or just tell where to find lyrics for Heroes Come Back and Lie, Lie, Lie ;) |

That's scary. Looks like Evil Igor bought the animelyrics.tv domain from the defectors. Oh well.

I saw a post in animelyrics.tv made by Xazy regarding the closing of animelyrics.tv and that it'll redirect to animelyrics.com. She didn't mention the cause though. A scary thing, indeed...   |

I've used .com more anyways. Or, a Google or Gendou search. XD

Oops, I made a repeat thread. Thanks for telling me. It's too bad, really. I never liked the .com community all that much, and their forums only have Japanese conversation and lyrics submission boards. Gendou serves my anime lyrics needs anyway, though .tv had some j-pop and game music too. I wonder where the other .tv regulars went. @gem: That's not the "new site", it's been up for quite a while. The original people running the website split over money/work/whatever issues, and the .com site joined a web ring while the .tv site stayed the same as the original. There's a big thread about it somewhere in these forums if you're interested.
Maka here is an wonderful example of why it's a bad idea to home school your children.
Maybe also a good example of why inbreeding is a bad idea, although the paternity test has not been done to say for sure.

It's rather irritating. I've been a regular submitter to animelyrics.com, not because I care about whatever stupid argument the owners are in or which site has the most followers, but because I know that a person casually searching for anime lyrics is more likely to go to a .com site than a .tv site. Recently though, animelyrics.com has been completely ignoring lyric corrections (even the ones where people have tried to correct their own lyrics), my submissions have been in the queue for up to 3 months, and often when the lyrics I submit make it to the site, the formatting on them is messed up. I've even accidently submitted the same song twice (Am I really supposed to remember what song I submitted 3 months ago when all my submissions are queued?) and it was put up on the site twice with the exact same song title and everything, shows how much they're paying attention. I got fed up and wanted to take .tv's test and try submitting to them, but when I got around to it their site redirected to .com. I guess there's nothing to be done, but for a site that's been around as long and has been as important to me as animelyrics.com its a bit depressing. |
