Hey, everyone, I'm having some trouble w/ my government class. I need some information that senate(dot)gov and congress(dot)org are not providing. What I need is:
  • the name of the Upper House
  • Terms of Office
  • the name of the current presiding officer for the Upper House
  • the title of the floor leader
  • the name of the floor leader
  • and the name of the Majority Whip

if anyone knows this, or part of this, please tell me.

Ummmm...Noh Seyako-san, I hate to point this out to you but...you haven't specified which country you want the information for. Each nation has separate terms, you see. Please specify it.

Yeah I agree with DA because if Google can hook me up with some Final Fantasy music then it can hook you up with the information you need. I think it's only a matter of how to use Google and other search engines

With vague terms like that? No way! What Noh Seyako-san needs to do is be very specific about what it is s/he wants.
Now, for the US:
-Name of the Upper House: The Senate
-Term of office: 6 years, with one-third of the members retiring after 2 years.
-Majority leader: Harry Reid (Democratic Party)
The rest will require some Googling, because these kinds of info aren't usually common knowledge. A word of advice: Don't trust official sources along for your research.
Here's a link: Wikipedia's article on the Senate

Good luck ^_^!
