I'm thinking of buying an Eee. Anyone out there that uses it? I don't intend to do much more intensive than Starcraft on it anyway, and any extra storage I need can come from an external hard drive.

I'd like to start playing again, but I don't have my own computer. The thing looks seriously anemic, but I have my own mouse and stuff.

Ohhh so that's an Eee.

Let me know when you plan on starting, I used to be an avid starcrafter. Now it's like one game a month ;/ All my friends quit...

Hmm... here's what I plan to do.

I don't need a high end PC for anything; I have my Wii for any games I want to play, as well as my friend's PS3 and my other friend's Xbox 360. Any PC games I like to play are covered by the Eee's hardware (Q3A, Starcraft, etc.)

To solve the hard drive issue, I'm gonna use an external, and if I'm at home, I can use a monitor and external keyboard and mouse.

Now the question becomes... spend $350 on a Eee 700 series or wait a bit and spend more on a Eee 900? I'm thinking of just getting the Eee 700 because I don't expect to be playing games outside of my house anyway.

if u got externalHD, 2 GB Solid state drive sounds perfect for you

one thing you need to aware of, if you get linux as the OS, make you sure your game can run on it. and also do some more research on it, cos i heard it got overheating problem, but im not sure if that's eee or other asus products.
