Is marching band a sport or is it not? I, myself, highly consider it a sport. What do you think? 
So I drove into a parking lot one time and saw this person pull into a handicap parking spot. When you think handicap, you think wheelchair and whatever, right? So it just ticked me off when I saw the guy come out of the car perfectly fine. So then I ran him over. |

i dunno... guess it's wiki time Sport is an activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. Sports commonly refer to activities where the physical capabilities of the competitor are the sole or primary determiner of the outcome (winning or losing) so...i think it can be since creating musical harmony involves physical capabilities |

mmm... If you are compiting... then ig uess is a sport... and of course involve physical capabilities :P so... i would say YES   |

You can say it's a sport, but it can also be art, or "Performing Arts" I'm not sure, but it involves the composition of music and actions at the same time. There are Marching Bands with contests right XD [remembers American Pie: Band Camp]  |

I never join marching band before,but i join band which play in concerts. I'm electric guitar.Go to YouTube and search "GACC 2008".There you can see me doing translation.Reminder:it's a bit blur due to too many spectators. |

Vigorous Precision of Drills....Drum Majors & Color Guards doing acrobatic stuns with their flags,props and mace. So yeah marching band is a sport.Dont think that band is easy..it's so damn tough and tiring than any sport on high school.I know because I'm a band member myself. |

EHhh wootos.. thats not a very good analogy. Marching band requires a lot of physical activity, coordination, team work, and practice. Poker is nothing like that. I like the way that andy put it. Its like sports and music combined, so basically yeah I'd consider it a sport, especially because marching bands compete, and like I listed above, are comprised of plenty elements that are also crucial in other sports. |
