Pokemon #38 (Banned seizure episode)

I just made this thread out of pure interest of how many people got seizures from Pokemon episode #38. The one with Porygon and all the flashing lights. I did not get a seizure, but it made me feel.. Odd.. I felt woozy, and my head felt buzzy. It's hard to explain. I turned my head away from the screen after this sensation. Did you get a seizure/the feeling? How did it make you feel? P.S: The seizure scene is near the end where the vaccine shoots and lights go off(A lot!) ![]() |

I don't like that episode. It was good and all, but it gave me a headache and a dizzy feeling. x3 ![]() |

I didn't suffer any ill effects, but that's probably because I'd seen a lot of stuff like that before.

^^Yeah, that's where I saw it a few months ago. Youtube... *sigh* The only place to find seizure inducing animation.

Before I watched the entire episode, I first watched the clip of when the seizure happened to those many kids in Japan. It warned me too but I was ready and clicked it and watched the scene...I was perfectly fine^^

Hmm.. I've seen this episode too... and I was just kinda like "fine-but-not-really-fine", it seems like teh harsh clashing of flashing colors triggers something in teh human mind that causes teh seizure... and teh most likely victims to these are teh kids... since they are teh ones w/ eyes that are highly sensitive to bright lights... although not all who've seen teh episode felt/experienced "something", it doesn't mean that THAT episode is safe to watch.. so yeah... they banned it from airing elsewhere... so... if you're light sensitive... I advise you not to watch teh episode... ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They said that all copies of the episode have been disposed of in many ways, but there are still bootleg copies and sites where you can find it. My friend John said that the episode has been dubbed in the US with the seizure part being slowed down. |

I watched that episode. After that I don't feel anything. Scientists believe that the flashing lights triggered "photosensitive seizures" in which visual stimuli such as flashing lights can cause altered consciousness. I think it only works for kids under age 4-14. ![]() ![]() |

Hahahahah, I laugh. If you want a seizure try playing Halo 1 for pc over a tv with a 120hz refresh rate. Then hack your nvidia settings to override and apply a bloom effect to particle effects, and then fire an assualt rifle. Over two thirds the screen will flash back and forth from the brightest value possible to w/e the environment is, but it will do it at the fastest rate possible, meaning roughly 60 flashes a second.... if that doesn't hurt your eyes or give you a seizure, nothing will. The porygon episode was just plain trippy.
