hiya, i was downloading the moetan series a loooooong time ago, but gendou's only ever had the first 5 eps up. just wondering: 1) why were the eps no longer uploaded and the series completed? (11 eps total) and 2) where do the uploaders get subbed episodes to upload to gendous? is it IRC, torrent, or DDL? and where would i go to get them so i can upload them to gendou's/sheep&tiojar's myself? thank you very very much, evil_bub ^.^

I can very much answer your first question . It has been dropped , or should I say licensed (I think) . And allowing people to download animes which has been licensed is a crime . Read the News . And also , this thread needs to be posted at the help section instead of the anime section . *MOVED* |

Moetan has not been licensed for NA distribution but I imagine animesheep dropped it due to lack of fansubs (abandoned tag), and possibly the content (some of it is pedoish). I'll tell you that recently the show has started being subbed once again, albeit very slowly. Whether it is picked back up or not will be up to Sheep and Tio. Don't ask where to obtain fansubs. AS is run by the two mentioned above so you'll have to ask them about uploading privileges but I imagine they aren't recruiting and singlehandedly operate it themselves. |

Also I believe episode 6 was the one banned from Japanese television... and you know it's naughty when even Japanese channels can't air it ;D Thankfully (or not), episode 6 was released on DVD and people have started subbing again from there... it's up to Sheep and Tio whether or not they continue the series :3   |

I'll just comment on Mina's response that I have no clue how the censors work in Japan because episode 6 of Moetan was NOTHING compared to Kanokon. It was so tame and I don't know why it was banned in the first place when Kanokon airs in the morning for elementary kids to watch while it includes "mooning style" [censored], heart-shaped [censored], and [censored] "from behind". And Moetan is actually somewhat educational, enjoy the "engrish" lessons. Edit- Added censorship to this post since Kanokon is lacking of it. |

The reason Moetan was dropped was because when we changed servers, we couldn't redownload them caus none of the torrents were seeded anymore. We probably are not going to add this series to the site anymore. Also, we don't censor on content ^^ PS: Maybe i should start watching Kanokon XD

| I heard episode 6 was banned and the series is dropped a while ago... It's up to episode 10 now though, ep. 6 is subbed as well |

Hmmm , since you said Moetan got more censors (+ Ban , I think) than Kanokon , this concludes that somehow Japanese have an absolute U-NEE-QUEE taste ..... mmm~hmmm .....
