As the name suggest this thread is to celebrate the meteoric rise of Megumi Nakajima & May'n who are the vocalists for Ranka Lee & Sheryl Nome. Characters from the VERY popular Macross Frontier series. Megumi Nakajima was picked from a large number of hopefuls to star in the new Macross series & she is making her voice acting/singing debut in the series. May'n has been singing since she was very young. She originally went by the name May Nakabayashi having such hits as "Crazy Crazy Crazy" & "Sympathy". She changed her stage name in 2008.

Thanks Z-san being the first to post here. She is CUTE isn't she. She's the one who sings all the beautiful songs in Macross Frontier. Like the currently high rated "Aimo" songs. Soon she'll be releasing her debut CD that has the arranged version of "Ai, Oboete Imasuka" which you can hear on my Macross Imeem playlist on my profile. Also she'll be singing the 2nd Opening song for the series called LION. With such a pretty voice & just beginning her career i can see a bright future for her. Shoji Kawamori and the folks over at Studio Nue sure found themselves a diamond in the ruff. |

Wow, a hot seiyuu... now there's a gem. I'm pretty surprised that she hasn't emerged until now. I was reading her blog yesterday (it was her birthday on the 5th, btw), and she'll be in some events in Japan in June and July. There's a Ranka Lee/Sheryl Nome concert also coming up beginning July 27th - I'll actually be in Japan during that time but nowhere near Tokyo T_T
Maka here is an wonderful example of why it's a bad idea to home school your children.
Maybe also a good example of why inbreeding is a bad idea, although the paternity test has not been done to say for sure.

oh so she's the new minmei?huh but better! hahaha i saw alot of praises for that idol in Frontier..nice! i think i should go check out her songs!hahaha anyway,being the slowpoke that i am, i'll appreciate her better after i watch macross frontier (when the series has ended airing of course! ^_^) edit: wow..she's quite good! i think im turning into a fan!hahaha |

@ Z-san Yup that's her!!! Well she's not technically the new Minmay that distinction goes to Sheryl. Both are really starting to be my faves singers & i can't wait for more from them after they finish with macross. I gave it some thought but this thread will now also include Sheryl (May'n) cause you can't have Ranka without Sheryl. So in the coming days i'll add some pics of Sheryl, Ranka, as well as May'n. The 'What bout my star @ formo' song is so addictive i've been putting that song on repeat on my player for the last few days or so. I'm not getting tired of it the least one bit!!! |

nyahaha!! count me in guys since Im a fan of both seiyuu xP I like Renka [Megumi] But I love Sheryl [May'n] but for songs, I would go for 2 lovely songs entitled: Diamond Crevasse : Sheryl Nome Aimo : Megumi Nakajima this 2 songs are really awesome for me xP EDITED: you can see my avy set that I love Sheryl nyahaha!!

@ Ich-san Welcome aboard!!! Glad of you to join us in celebrating the rise of these two vocalist. Megumi Nakajima-san is a seiyu as well as a singer. May'N however only provides the singing voice for Sheryl. @ Z-san Well Sheryl has alot more character than Minmei does. I describe Sheryl as more of a Misa Hayase mold. Ranka i say more closely resembles Minmei cause of her innocence & carefree attitude but also very indecisive at time. Anyways i'm gathering up photos to post up & possibly creating a 'gallery' section. Until i figure out how i want to set it up i suggest you watch this cute little music video featured on the Macross website. It has a cute 'paper-doll' like Ranka doing a funny little dance while singing one of Ranka's debut songs that will be on her single called 'Interstellar Flight'. VERY VERY KAWAIII!!!! @ Miko-san & Aoi-san Thanks for visiting the thread & i welcome you to the fanclub!!!! Unlike other clubs here on Gendou i don't believe in any kind of ranking system. If you are a fan than everyone is on equal grounds. You have permission to do whatever kind of banner or whatever you want to promote these two superstars! Spread the word around!!!! ************************ Yeah if you read her blog on her website she celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. Also in her profile it says that she's half philipino...which explains why she doesn't really have that traditional japanese look. Her mother is philipino & her most precious item is a necklace (i think) from her grandmother. So maybe she won't be just big in Japan but in the Philipines as well ^___^!!! Some of the pics i added to the slideshow shows her doing the dance moves from that cute video with 'paper' Ranka singing Interstellar Flight, wish i was there to see Megumi Nakajima-san dance O_O!!! As for May'n she's been singing since she was 13-14, she released a single called Crazy Crazy Crazy when she was 14. So she's been doing it for awhile now, i thought she was a newcomer as well. She's also pretty young, i thought she was in her mid to late 20's. |

@izumo-san + know that's explain it!! im really wondering why does her appearance is not similarly alike to a normal Japanese... Being a half Filipino, its very rare to see stars like her xP well just wish her all the best luck xP

Episode 11 featured a new ending song called "Neko Nikki"....sung by Megumi Nakajima. The song will be featured in her debut album. Very cute! Is it me or does Yoko Kanno always have a 'cat song' in all her albums? Anyways here is some more videos of Megumi Nakajima singing!! On July 27th both Megumi Nakajima-san & May'n will hold a concert at Zepp Tokyo. They are calling it 'Superdimensional Super Live Concert'...@#$%!!! i wish i was in japan for this event! From what i've heard so far (at least of May'n) they sound pretty good live. I bet there will be other suprises that will occur during this concert.
