The way of the samurai or "Bushido" (Also translated as the way of the warrior) Japanese form of honor and conduct, similar to the English Knight's code. It is where a samurai develops chivalry, trough various past influences... The topic now is.. If you where to carry on the way of Bushido, would you follow the code with your heart, even if its ways are somewhat abrupt?? Shout out you mind!!! ~Wakoko  |

Well, the question is, I think, pretty much paradoxical because if you don't obey the code of Bushido, you're not a samurai! So, it's not really a question of choice, is it?  --> |

I do agree with Gant. But I tend to believe *most* samurais do keep to the Way with honor. Which is good IMO. Its difficult for me to think if I could follow the code since I serve no one but myself :p Depends on the circumstances, I guess. But I believe in not dying in another's (enemies) hands, so I will never give myself or betray my side up to the enemy. I wouldn't choose death as honor though. I'd bring down my enemies with me to hell even if I HAVE to die. Hmm, I make a bad samurai. :D Oh well, I think Ninjas in a sense are more loyal, aren't they?

You know, I've kind of always wanted to be a samurai. I think the answer is yes. I would follow those ways faithfully, even if I somewhat disagreed with them.

I dont think so ,cause i served no one but myself.And i will only follow my heart most of the time.Cause life is all about having fun,like xbox cm,life short,play more!

| Living by way of Bushido is hard... Particularly is the fact that it has no understanding for failure. As such, to follow it as best as one can, I try and merely feel terrible about my failures and focus on always improving. I have quite a few qualms about killing myself about failing and then commiting seppuku. Haven't lost a battle/fight/w.e you want to call it yet, so... haven't come to a real reason to end my life... yet. |
