There are rumors that Capcom will produce another megaman game. The characters are based on the classic Megaman Series. Do you think its just rumors? Or not? If its true then I expect better graphics. Hmm... I wonder if the game is to be released on Wii. If yes, then is better than I expected. I wonder if its a first person shooter game or just the classic version that there is?

Since its 3D you were talking about. how about first person shooter and the accessory of the wii controller is an exact image of a buster. Its better than megaman legend format.

i dunno...megaman FPS? i dont want to see the blue bomber jump into that territory..but since metroid prime did a wonderful job ( i read the reviews) mixing action and platforming then maybe it can work out ^^ |

if a megaman game were to take the same elements of Metroid prime & put it on Wii, THAT would be a Megaman Fans dream just because it would definately be the first time a megaman game would be First Person shooter (or third, can't remember) |

First Person = Only Hands or just the environment is visible. Third Person = Character is Visible. Just like Siphon Filter. If its third person, its a hands down. Anyway, I just think its a First-Person Shooter, but I think its not gonna happen. But since its Wii, it has a slow chance of becoming a FPS game.

Megaman 9 is official! It was in an issue of Nintendo Power evidently. It will be released for WiiWare, and the best part is it will be 8 bit! Here's the link for more info, courtesy of 8-bit theater: http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=12136 |

i was reading a article about it from gamespot and it said that Keiji Inafune the original creator is not thinking of making one at this time i guess he is still thinking about because capcom does not produce it with out him he is like the one who makes the story and bosses which is awesome also i was thinking whether the new megaman game will fill in the gaps that he left off like the connection between mm and mmx and also gaps between characters like how bass died. also this is diffrent they should also make a game or at least a OVA on megaman that describes how he sacrificed his body to imprision the dark elf cuase that is truly unfair cause i wanted mega to live T_T |

If you are saying that Megaman 9 isn't happening, that's false. I'm not exactly sure what you are saying, to be honest. My apologies. Can you link the article saying Inafune won't be involved? I didn't see anything like that when I looked (though I admit I didn't look for too long) All I know for absolutely sure is that Megaman 9 is coming, it's 8 bit, and I can't wait! |

i doubles checked and yep its coming out adn it seem inafune is getting invloved my bad for any confusions here are the details The game is currently developed by Inti Creates, a company known for developing games in the Mega Man Zero series and Mega Man ZX series. The game itself is a literal return to its roots, as the graphics and music resemble how their original games looked and sounded on the Nintendo Entertainment System hardware. The game will be controlled using the Wii Remote held sideways using the control pad and the "1" and "2" buttons. According to franchise creator Keiji Inafune, the simple fun of a classic Mega Man game "doesn't fit into the grandiose and expansive world that the consumer gaming industry has become, and so you have to make games that match the current expectations." He said pushing for the creation of a Mega Man in the style of the original "would be quickly criticized for things like being simplistic, outdated, or too expensive", thus making it "too difficult" to develop such games in the "current climate". He then goes on to say that the rise of retrogame services like Nintendo's Virtual Console allowed the development team to put together Mega Man 9. Capcom has confirmed that the game is in development, but has yet to make a formal announcement. Furthermore, no specific territories have been announced for the game despite the game having been given an Australian rating. |

@princeninja Unfortunately it s not what you expect. The megaman that will be used in this game will be the 8-bit megaman. I was also surprised when I saw that it was 8-bit they're using.
